Are there any cheap alternatives to Fizik Ariones?
I've got one and i'ts super comfy, but I'm not comfortable putting a £70 Saddle on my polobike...Charge Spoon for sure. I loved my Arione VS for a more forward position, but when a little more upright for my beater, spoon all the way. plus you can pick them up for a tenner on the bay.

Planet x copy?

SLR is quite Arione like.

^^ the PX thing sags a bit. It's quite heavy too.
There must be a Chinese carbon Arione K1 copy?

Tried the toupe - too flat not enough padding
Now using the Romin expert evo gel with level 2 padding - better shape but still not enough padding my delicate behind. Can anyone recommend anything? Around 143.

Do you need the cutout? If not, try a Cambium

Did a 40km ride yesterday on my new Arione VS.
My behind started aching after km 10 and after km 20 I was about ready to die.No numbness/pressure/whatever on my privates though, just the sitbones were aching like hell. I tried countering by moving more back on the saddle, which made things worse as I pushed so far back, that my legs started rubbing against the saddle, causing my feet to go numb.
So, what did I do wrong? The saddle may be not perfectly level, but damn near.

that's what I get if the saddle is too flat, try and move curved one like the Romin or an old Flite

If anyone has a white classic Flite going, please let me know:

I really can't get on with SLRs. Can barely ride them down the road without bibs

hey guys,
i used a Selle Italia XO for a few years just because it came on a bike that I bought. I was an okay saddle. I still have it.
i really like the look of all these expensive saddles but i am wondering which one will feel the best for me. there isn't really a way to try them out except for finding someone who has one and borrowing it, right? -

Visualisation will work

i've pushed to set up a saddle hire scheme, i'm sure collectively those who follow this thread alone could build up quite a selection, i.e...
SADDLE - OWNER - WITH/ SINCE
Selle Italia XO - andrevautour - noiser/ 08.08.14
San Marco Rolls - noiser - Velocio/ 01.07.14
etc.thoughts?

So I was testing out a customer's Pinarello Dogma with the new Fizik Versus channel and suddenly have the same revelation as Dammit, god damn they're so much more comfortable.
Previously the standard Fizik put too much pressure on the soft tissues, now no more, and I can relaxed my back a bit.

Just ordered a black Unicanitor: http://www.wingedstore.com/news/38-the-unicanitor-saddle
Can't wait for it to arrive.

I've got a Flite Titanium on my Mercian, and the leather has been through the wars. Do Selle Italia, or anyone else restore saddles?

san marco regal - belgian sofa - for me. Mind you I have a 30's ideale on an older bike that is more comfy but really knackers your shorts with its dodgy rivets.

Been riding it for a few days, and I must say it is very comfortable, which is a slight surprise. Previously been on Cambium C17.

Can anyone suggest a long, flat(ish) saddle saddle, similar to an Arione but narrower in the forward area (not quite the nose, further back – if that makes sense)?
Worst sentence ever ^

Concor?

The Zoncolan is narrow for the entire front section. Looks a bit curved at the back though.
(2nd guess)
^ Yes, I've used the PX team saddle and Fizik Arione, and they are very similar shape. You get what you pay for, with the PX saddle being prone to sag a little after a while (lack of carbon reinforcement which you get with the Arione, I guess?), but it's barely noticeable and should serve you well on a polo bike I would've thought.
