  • i was just about to post the exact same thing...i saw one of their roll top backpacks in a shop here in Toronto this week, very very solid bags.

Since they've begun expanding their workshop, and I assume both equipment and staff, their work has definitely improved from earlier bags I've seen.
I haven't seen one up close, but from pictures they look pretty well made.

Although, it's not always what you CAN see that determines how long a bag will last. ;]

  • has anyone actually had any experience of ordering from the vagx international store?

    http://vagx.co.kr/

I'm after a black small snug sling type bag just to fit shoes and a lock in, and the vagx smallest bag seems link a good option, unless anyone else has a better idea?

  • Im pretty sure someone on here was importing them for a while, have you tried doing a search?

  • yeah I did, the chap importing them as far as I can tell was in germany, and the last post on his blog was in 2009, so I'm guessing he no longer is

  • Mission workshop have another new backpack out. The Fitzroy
Looks like a nice, and fairly simple bag if you're in the market for a bigger pack. I actually prefer these newer, simpler bags to their all singing and dancing earlier models.

  • I've read through most of the thread and I'm thinking about getting a backpack instead of my chrome metropolis. I was looking at the Chrome Backbone or the Ortlieb messenger but I can't really decide. Need room for hauling a load of fruit and veg and other bulky groceries as well as various books, boxes, clothes and other junk from time to time.

Anyone own either and feel like sharing their opinions on them (or any alternatives around the same price)?

  • has anyone actually had any experience with bagaboo mags! ?

  • Yep I've got one and my friend bought one. They're great for the price, and the customer service is excellent.

Some of the buckles on mine broke during cold weather and they sent me replacements for free.

Had it on during some pretty heavy rain too and the inside has never been wet. Also for the extra thing you can get added, I'd definitely recommend getting compression straps.

  • Does anybody here know a decent and large bag which is really reflective for riding in the dark but still looks pretty decent?

  • The reflective bands of the large mail bag are quite effective at night, and it looks ok during the day:

  • I believe this is what you're looking for:

  • Just got a Chrome Metropolis last week, great bag. Pretty comfortable and good priced!

  • I've had a Seal-Line backpack for about 4 months or something now and it's really good. Really light and comfortable but very tough and very waterproof. Big enough for a weekend's worth of clothes and a pair of trainers and because of the roll top you can really stuff it if you need to. Comes with a removable bit of plastic to stiffen the back which I cut slots into to add a velcro strap for my pump and a holster for my lock and other bits and bobs.

  • I want one, what is the cheapest place you can get them?

  • Yep, that's where I got mine - it's the small by the way.

  • Got a Unisign courier bag in the post today. Advertised as 44x38x12cm so I thought hurrah, finally a bag that I can squeeze an A3 folder into. I received a suspiciously small package - turns out that what they actually mean is 'when you squash it flat the external size is about 42cm, the internal is about 40, and it quickly tapers down to about 35cm' and when squashed the depth is zero cm so even if it didn't taper, you couldn't actually fit anything in there anyway. I can't even fit my 15.6" laptop in there, that's how small it is.

Anyone want to go halves on a pair of Linell Royal Mail bags? Minimum order is £50 before vat, so you have to order two of them - including vat and delivery they're about £35.

  • I've argued this very point on a few bag blogs.
So many bag companies measure the widest point of the bag when flat and give a completely misleading idea of size.
Any bag should be measured by it's 'box dimensions' when pulled into its actual rectangular shape, as it's the only way for people to work out what can be fit inside when it's full.
The width when flat is no use for anything other than knowing how far it will wrap around the body when empty.

  • It's bloody annoying. I spoke to my mum today and she said she could make me a courier bag (she owns a little bespoke clothing company) so I'll crack out the Chartpaks and draw up some plans.

  • Anyone know, where online has SAG bags in stock?

  • anyone?

    In Hong Kong.

But why those bags, do none in the list (page one of this thread) suit you?

  • i like the look of them and the shape of them to your back.
also they are fairly cheap, and i can't really decide on anything else :(
