  • ^^^here's a guy of [strike]few[/strike] no words.

  • jusr received it**....
Excellent build, comfy, very weather ready, good pockets, tidy, small. Perfect if that's what you're looking for.

    Pics?

  • Pics?

+1 and if you're feeling generous, a pic of it fully loaded up with stuff.

  • anyone has recommends a laptop sleeve for in the bag of messages?

  • i'm not taking any pics, but i did look for them online before buying. this one is completely accurate... this dude must be like 5'5" because it looks smaller on me and i'm 5'10"

the photos here are accurate and show the pockets. The zippered one that you see at the bottom of the flap when it's flipped up is basically a bomb shelter for your computer or papers. the other zippered pockets are also impermiable to rain good for a phone and headphones etc. the front velcro pocket is a place for a lock and keys and stuff you want to access quickly.
over all the positve attributes are 1) weather proofness and overall build quality 2) ideal compact size and shape for books and computer 2) comfort when loaded with pedestrian said objects. Drawbacks 1) it's small. 2) the flap is a bit clumsy looking, but i susoect it will break in nicely and blend in over time.
    ok i'm done.

  • ^ they look like a huge Jiffy bag strapped to your back

  • anyone has recommends a laptop sleeve for in the bag of messages?

http://www.tombihn.com/page/001/PROD/300/TB0350 these are supposed to be very good

  • Anyone know if the bigger Black Rainbow Project messenger bag "RED" is on the market?

  • I'd ask the Organ grinder rather than the Monkey's! ;]

  • Well; is it then good Sir?

  • I like the Kriega US20, although not specifically a messenger bag, they are fully waterproof and have some useful pockets

  • Anyone know if the bigger Black Rainbow Project messenger bag "RED" is on the market?

I'd ask the Organ grinder rather than the Monkey's! ;]

Well; is it then good Sir?

would have done better asking the monkeys. :D

  • If you want to speak to the Organ grinder you move towards the organ, you don't shout from the coconut shy.

  • hahaha 'organ'

  • hahaha 'monkey' ^^^

  • Look...It's a bearded monkey in a hat! ^^^

  • I'm a big fan of hip pouches and have recently bought a couple of new ones. I have a Rosie pouch but wanted to go even more compact so i bought one of these of fleabay for £25

    http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/RAT%E2%84%A2-WALLET-11p74.htm

It's about as wide a my rosie but about half as long. I can get everything i could get into/onto my rosie minus a tube and a micro pump (i carry around a couple of self adhesive patches and, when i can be bothered to carry it, a micro pump in a slim surefire torch pouch).
Basically its a great pouch if you just want to carry a phone, wallet, biketool/multitool and a couple of other very small bits

I also bought one of these when i need to carry more stuff, again from ebay for £13

    http://www.viperkit.co.uk/site/pouches/viper-large-utility-pouch/prod_1049.html

It's pretty big and can carry quite a lot of stuff (like my shoes, for the day's when i have to change out of my mountain bike shoes) , It has webbing on the front which i find useful for attaching my lights and the surefire micro pump pouch

  • Does anyone know which model of the Mission Workshop backpacks is suitable for carry on luggage for flights? I take it the Rambler and Vandal will be too big?

  • I checked the Ryanair cabin allowance the other day, max bag is 55cm x 40cm x 20cm.

Unexpanded the Vandal is 53 x 38 x 15 (from their website) so I guess you'd be okay with that and the Rambler would fit easily.

  • ok cheers for that, maybe ok with judicious packing

  • Has anyone had, tried, own a moust-ache duffle bag ? If yes any chance of an a opinion ?

  • Another option for people in the market for a backpack or basic messenger style bag.
YNOT has gone from strength to strength over the past couple of years and expanded their business to meet demands.
Their current range looks pretty solid.

  • i was just about to post the exact same thing...i saw one of their roll top backpacks in a shop here in Toronto this week, very very solid bags.
