I got these today in (wait for it) XXXL:
I seem to have been underestimating the size of my hands and feet.
-
• #580
do you want to try the shoes?
-
• #581
Unisex sizing. I'm xxl in Bontrager gloves.
...although weirdly I think I'm only Medium in Gore so that's my theory fried.

Yep, sorry- been meaning to reply.
Dominators please James- will be 2012 I expect though as I'm off to the country tomorrow.
-
• #583
no worries, they are really battered, but will give you an idea of sizing
-
• #584
That's exactly what I am after- cheers James.

And let me be the first to point out that I am a retard for buying shoes that are too small.
-
• #586
its an odd one, if you are used to them feeling a certain way then you assume that is correct, hence why i have had to upsize from 46 to 47
i too am feeling the insualtion benefit of more air in my shoes
what is bizarre is the difference between sidi dragons and dominators, the dragon are a summer race shoe, and significantly less roomy than the dominators in the same size

Those gloves are great- wore them today for 45 or so miles with decathlon liners in and my hands were toasty.
My toes "went away", but I have a new pair of boots in a bag next to me.
Progress!

what size sidi's do you need? i have dominators in 46 and 46.5 and carbon genius in a 46 - all too small for me these days - too much yoga has meant my feet have grown to a 47.
will be posting a sale thread soon
How much for the 46.5 Dominators?
I got some of the Sealskinz Ultra Grip gloves for Christmas. Been out on them a couple of times, including just now, when it was pretty chilly. Really impressed with how warm and windproof they were, but both times I've worn them I've got pins and needles in my little and third finger on my left hand. Not sure if that's the fit or the position of my hand on the bars, either way, a little disconcerting.
Also, I took them off for a Christmas cake break, and when I put them on, with my sweat in them they were fucking freezing, so maybe they don't 'wick' away the water that well, or whatever fancy bollocks it is merino is supposed to do. -

I've tried a bunch of stuff and never had any joy. I have problems with Reynaud's Syndrome so the cold really bothers me, especially with a year round, 15 mile 5am commute.
So far tried Specialized BG gloves, Radiant and Sub Zero, Gore Radiator and Cross II, Rapha town gloves and PS track gloves, all with and without various liners/undergloves.
After poking about in my LBS on Saturday and finding nothing I felt would offer an improvment, I left dissapointed, thinking I was just going to have to stump up the £££ for the Assos 3 glove system thing and hope it wouldn't be money down the pan. Wandered into Aldi and came across a pair of these:
Figured for £5.95, it'd be stupid not to try them.
Yesterday was the first time I've ridden into work since the start of October that I haven't arrived with corpsefinger. And it was hovering around freezing and lashing with torrential rain. They're warmer, much more comfortable, allow slightly more dexterity and seem just as well made as either Gore or Spesh's ultracold offerings. Can't really say how breathable they were because it was cold enough that my hands never got to the point of being hot/sweaty. The cuff thing also comes quite a way up the arm. Looks a little dorky, but it's perfect for someone with ape arms like me that usually rides with a couple of inches of bare skin between glove and jersey/jacket sleeve. Also felt better for having the yellow wrist for indicating.
YMMV, but for under £6, if you have a store nearby and are experimenting, they're worth a punt.
Edit: Only downside so far is they don't have any padding in the palm. But mine are XL and I reckon have enough space to fit a padded summer race style mitt under without problem. I take an X/XL in Spesh, 10 in Gore and L in Rapha leather for comparison.

@ Sanddancer - I have Raynauds as well so have the same problems as you. I got some of the Aldi cycling gloves a while ago (yours are the ski gloves I think) and I would put them on a par with Sealskinz winter gloves for warmth (haven't had a soaking in them yet though so don't know if they are waterproof) but for £6 compared with about £30 for the Sealskinz they are a bloody good deal.

Likewise in the same boat, finally found a warmth in a pair gore tex ski gloves. Altura night vision, Endura strike and Specialized sub zero have all failed me so far. Yet to try the current offering in super cold though

XL (the biggest size) but they are a bit on the short size for my long fingers.

I have been looking for waterproof glove's. BTW none of the Sealskins products are waterproof. I've tried lots of them and been disappointed.
I have some motorbike gauntlets that are great in below freezing conditions but Id like something I could wear over fleecy gloves in the rain. Basically a hard shell waterproof glove, with no insulation. Been looking on outdoorsy type site's but no joy.

I've never had s problem with Sealskinz not being waterproof but I find my hands and feet end up soaked with sweat.
I've been using DHB winter gloves for the last three winters and they've been excellent in all extreme conditions. I'm about to try some Specialized Deflect for the first time so I'll see how they go...

So cycling in this morning even my planet x gloves were cold, my toes and fingers are always cold. I can warm my feet by wearing more socks + shoe covers but can never seem to warm my hands (fingers)
Googled about on line and found these ; http://www.tenn-outdoors.co.uk/sale-cold-weather-waterproof-windproof-soft-shell-cycling-glove-blackgrey-sml
Which look awesome for the money. Might also buy a pair of their bib tights. Does anyone have experiences with Tenn Outdoors?

I have some Tenn kit, winter tights and a jersey. Its great clothing fodder that works and is super cheap, but not as techical and well made as others out there.
I wore my Planet X gloves yesterday and they kept the fingers pretty toasty. My issue was the lack of grip on my carbon levers!
