  • the best soundtrack in any of his films by a mile though

  • I haven't got any speakers in work :(

  • I think so to (the wire was amazing) but i think that Red Bull have quite a big hold over his career and where probably not so keen on him doing a film for channel4 which they could not manage themselves (he did get his cap in every shot though) plus the budget was probably shit knowing C4. Cannot wait for the next one though!

  • Dannys was the best shot/directed and edited. the woman who smothered the flatland imagery with techno geekfest graphics needs shooting.

    +1

i am pretty sure it was just a man with terrible hair, not a woman.

impossibly overwrought. thought the skateboarding one was nicely shot.

  • the best soundtrack in any of his films by a mile though

do you know who the artist/track is?

  • Ben Howard - "The Wolves"

  • but fire .... why

I wasn't sure about how well the hard-as-granite-elite-soldier-induction-test-thingy narrative held up when one of the cadets found a pair of rollerblades.

Mr Macaskill's flim was best, I reckon, for not overcooking the style.

  • I agree that the roller blades were off as was the weak "plot" but some of the stunts by the two main free runners were awesome and very televisual.

Correct. The first jump by Blue off the building arms spread was like. He can fly.

  • music on that Macaskill is bloody shocking

  • Pffffft. +1

  • I wish I was 20 years younger.

I have just bought a DJ bike though. :)

Behind the scenes ruins the magic a bit, but it's great to see. Keelan Phillips landing on his handlebars = epic cringe.

  • I liked the Macaskill flick the best.

It was the only one that didn't use a shift of speed mid shot. I know there is a generation of wankers film makers are still under the influence of The Matrix the technique detracts from the riders/runners/skaters flow.

  • really enjoyed that on C4 last night, the free running film didnt need all the bollox of agents and that, seeing them in full flow is enough. That skate film was very enjoyable too, as for Danny Macaskill just amazing, Wicksie i was browsing ebay for a DJ bike today!!

  • I caught a bit of the show on C4. Might watch it tonight on 4OD. Skateboarding was particularly impressive.

  • Good video.

  • Nice boys aren't they?

  • Maybe it's because I was watching In The Thick Of It last night but it's just occurred to me that Chris Hoy does sound a lot like Malcolm Tucker.

  • Expect to start seeing this link posted all over the forum;
    http://imaginate.redbull.com/videos/riding_film

  • Ha... never thought you'd be the first to post it!

I saw it this morning.... the size of the objects take away the perspective which make a lot of his tricks good.

I did like the bit where he jumped over a pencil whilst his bike ran under it though. That and riding a collapsing house of cards...
