Even then, he says, he can't resist the occasional trick: "A big skid is my favourite. It always looks cool, particularly if you end it with a good finger point."
That shows that he must be on here--he can't have learned this anywhere else.

Just watched the making of the way back home video on Red Bull TV.
Quite good, and of course some great stunts. One bit, at Edinburgh Castle, he had a load of nerves and bottled it three or four times, then did that forward roll, amazing. -

1:35, proof that he is indeed, a mere mortal.

there was a programme called concrete jungle on the telebox last night they had a danny mackaskill alike may even have been the man himself
watching him jump his bike up something i would struggle to grapple / climb up was truly amazing
skills a plenty -

I saw that programme. They followed four "street sports" people while each was being filmed for a viral video. Macaskill was one, a Spanish free style skateboarder another and a "flatland" BMX rider and a couple of Free Runners.
Macaskill came across as a very pleasant and unassuming young man. The free running was, however, the most spectacular to watch. A good programme.

They showed him making the film above "Industrial Revolutions".
He was off the bike for 9 months last year with injuries.

re. the free runners
the director of the film said right lets do something we've never seen before in free running !
" lets set them on fire "
great the medium of flame let have them getting run over by steam rollers next or see if they can last underwater for 15 mins with any breathing apparatusEXTREME

Dannys was the best shot/directed and edited. the woman who smothered the flatland imagery with techno geekfest graphics needs shooting.

I have to say that I think that's the least impressive of his films so far, apart from cycling on that bit of wire.
Make this thread a sticky will ya?
