Since he rides with BMXers and rides in a bit of a BMX style sometimes, I'd love to see a him ride a trials bike with pegs - opening up more possibilities and shit. Fuck, just thinking about it...oh man

Oliver Schick would never make such a mistake.
What, you mean reposting something?
Definitely not.
Never.

The actual 'jingle' is not only extremely annoying, but totally superfluous, given the fact that the businesses entire raison d'etre is encompassed in the company name...
we buy any car - 'I'm sorry but you'll need to elaborate on that for me?'

• #160
nice! thats a great setting
-
• #161
Yeah it is and although the idea behind the advert is a bit contrived, it should be good publicity for all cycle based activities.

Shame, just like the Tour de France, it's a case of amazing bike rider promotes the automobile. Or, automobile company uses amazing bike rider to promote cars.
It does nothing to promote cycling.
I can't believe how much of a badman he is though and I fully respec him for doing that ad. I hope he got paid an adequate sum.

Pastry lover thanks for the comments on the BMX vid thread. It is a shame that they used a rider to promote a car but I'm sure Danny did ok out of it. In this sport I suppose its necesary to sell out some times.
I just thought kids that see that ad may want to start cycling and it will probs lead to them BMXing because it's one of the cheapest disaplins to get into. Because other than track and road racing, bike sports rarely get shown on terestrial TV even though we have some of the best mountain bike and bmx riders in the world. I do know the impact will be minimal though.

I see Top Gear in his near future. An entertaining but contrived racy stunt scenario.

i do not understand the relevance of the wasp.

i suppose they were trying to be clever, but failed dismally. i can just imagine some ad twat in a brainstorm meeting coming up with it.
"i have an idea - we'll show him being completely fearless as he does footjam-whip-to-360-drops off 8 foot walls, then becoming a real pansy when a wasp comes into the car! the public will find that really funny!"
-
• #167
What does it say when he runs away from the wasp?
Any german speakers?
-
• #168
I'd just like to mention, I've ridden with danny mac a few times (I've ridden trials for 8 years), and he is just as amazing in reakl life as he is in the videos, I imagine all these lines are shot in one take.

The underlying message is probably something like 'cycling is well dangerous and you need so much skill, look how safe you are in a car--the worst you'll have to put up with is a wasp'.
But I don't really know, either. I suspect they really just want to associate boring cars with something eye-catching.
Repost, by the way. It will be reposted a couple of dozen more times by various people ...

What do you mean? There's nothing in German in the video. Just some low grunts from what I could make out, which I hasten to assure you is not what German sounds like at all. ;)
