  • Forecast tonight is for a -3C "hard and penetrating" frost. Ooer missus.

  • Well I'll at least ride to richmond park and make a decision from there.
Chopsicle, you must have deep pockets if your gonna buy food from that cafe in richmond park, bare thievery going on in there from my point of view, I'll be bringing my own supplies from now on...

  • Ha ha, still bitter about that overpriced flapjack!

  • The year started very well in terms of training. Long rides every saturday, hill climbs at least once a week. Turbo training on Sundays. I have even managed not to drink too much (no hangovers anyhow ) and pretty much off the grass. But this weather is seriously effecting my plans. I have to say, I have been defeated by the weather now. I probably need to harden up. But enough is enough. Roll on Spring ( or above 6degrees would do )

  • always ved, always...
if it was a special flapjack, baked between the heated thighs of south american virgins, and lovingly fed to me as I had my feet massaged it would have been worth it,

but as it wasn't it was not...

  • You are doing alright Mike, i have had a slow start (you still swimming?)
I got loads of riding in December but January has been blown, take away football and running I have smoked far to much, had 1 day in 30 without a drink and not cycled over 20 miles in one stretch all month... I am turning into a hipster!!

Cornie. i'll be there to check the lie of the land. worst case we work the upper arms out with a full english :)

  • and pretty much off the grass.

Aaaw, say it ain't so. Cycling Club Hackney's Grass Track Racing League is on Sunday evenings in June, July and August 2009. ;)

  • am about to head down, have no gas in the system so will be slow, keep missing breakfast on saturdays, might be ten mins late.
    tally ho young sirras

  • i'll pick you up some flapjack from Spar.

  • It actually looks pretty nice outside. Have fun

  • brrrr... a chilly start, a pleasant few laps and then the sun broke through, a nice morning in all. A pleasure riding with you all, will look forward to more of the same,

For anyone interested, I've been out every full moon for the last few months in RP, the next one is this coming Monday (9th). I'll put a post in rides and races when I get a moment - and I'll post re. Swain's Lane, Monday eve's as well.

    Cheers all, enjoy your weekends!

  • chopsicle,

good riding with you both in richmond park, and on the way back to clapham...

people sorry for my lack of pace today, just shows that nutrition plays a huge part in performance, what with me missing dinner the night before and breakfast the morning of, contributed massively to me being lantern rouge...

    good riding with you all.

Also lovely to see greasy out putting the miles in on fiddy's pinarello, just don't drop it big man, fiddy would have your guts for garters..

  • Good to meet you Chopsicle, come along we're here every saturday, until HH opens for training i guess. Stay tuned for when Claus/BMMF turn up then you can have a proper blast with them up those hills.

I'm improving (i think) but still some way to go.

I'd love to join you on the full moon ride but I'm committed for footy on Monday nights at present.

Good to see Corny, Purple_MJ, Pip and Fiddy.

Where are the rest of the trackies? Huh? Weather was absolutely fine. Gorgeous now.

    .

    wouldn't worry about it.

    oh and I <3 fiddy's pinarello, mmmmmmmmmmm

oh and we spotted Dropout John, doing some kind of top secret training regime - where have you been fella?

  • I'm working Saturdays till the end of June, and neglecting my climbing muscles till at least August.

Happy to pass the torch to claus though.

  • i was there having a quick 3 lap blast with a mate. didn't see you guys aprt from a lone blue bob jackson rider going clockwise.
quite nice when the sun came out.

  • Yet again a lovely morning for a ride, spent too long buying sausages in Borough this morning after though and had 'the phone call' on the way back.
Nice to meet Chopsicle, Greasy and Fiddy again and of course to roll along with Ved and Corny what could be better. Missed you Clive is all ok the north side of the river?

  • Oh just remembered, someone mentioned RPM on the ride this morning and I was just wondering who he was?

  • he doesn't ride a bike below 10°

  • 5 degrees,

but yes, I'm sorry for going off riding proper velodromes and having the audacity to take a break this week ;)

I'll be back from next week, but the cold really has pissed me off recently (trouble breathing with the old asthma) I also see this as an ideal time to taper and rest a bit before building up to when track training starts March 7th and racing about a month later.

  • Tapering before a period of training?

I can't keep up with these new-fangled methodologies.

  • I was in Richmond today.. walking along the river with Mal :)
Coffee grinder pickup fail. Fucking useless trains.

  • Tapering/staying in bed wanking, it's all much the same.

  • RPM was checking the taper of his shaft?
