  • not worth it.

the brighter it is - the less your eyes adjusted to the surrounding.

the point is not to use it to light your way since it only burns 5 minutes on full power.
its for burning the retinas of the royal mail cunt coming at you in the wrong lane.

  • or a 100w LED with serious cooling

  • Nice, I got a 13W LED sample at work a few years ago, that was painfully bright (and hot). The same company offered a 39W which I never got to lay my hands on. Can't imagine what a 100W LED would be like IRL.

And make them crash at you after getting blinded.

Just try and keep the handlebar nice and straight, ride in super-primary and they'll think you're a motorcyclist.

  • 100 Lumens is plenty for a front bike light on the road, ce n'est pas?

  • if it blinks, maybe

  • yes, is shipping free?

  • I dunno

  • actually yes, standard shipping is free - bought one, at that price is good

My brother has been doing some work with a company that does film & stage lighting with LED. They have 2kw LED lighting. No fucking jokes.

  • 2kW power consumption, or "this lamp can replace a 2kW tungsten/metal halide one"?

2kW LED few emitters run at maximum output (like bike lights) ~ 160,000lm
2kW LED lots of emitters run at maximum efficiency ~ 300,000lm
    2kW metal halide discharge lamp ~ 220,000lm
    2kW tungsten/halogen run at 3200K for short life/high output ~ 50,000lm

  • I am going to build this for fun

  • i'm after a front light that i can attach to my body, rather than to my bike. any thoughts?

Do you mean like a head torch? If so you cant go wrong with the alp kit One.

  • something i can clip onto a bag strap or pocket.

to be seen rather than to see, if you catch my drift.

  • I see the smart lunars have clips to attach to bags.

These ones have always been faultless for this purpose. Has a sturdy belt clip built onto it.

  • cheers dudes
