I went over yesterday and hung around for a while.
He had indeed found a pub and had a couple of pints. Popped in later and he seemed well (if a little drowsy after his liquid lunch).
Don't know what time he's getting out on Wednesday, but we could do a "paul gets out of hospital" drinks (just one or two) at The Good Samaritan.

got a text from him this morning - "the swelling has gone down so I don't think they'll operate".. he's supposed to be operated on today so it could make a difference.

Viz FTW... when i popped by on Saturday... he was psyching him self up for the opp. today.
fiddy and me had a little press-up comp. 1-0 fiddy.
Who can drink 13 shots of tequila in a minute 2-0 fiddy.
Wheelchair tt one end of the ward to the other 3-0 fiddy.
then he continued to show off with his one finger chin ups off the stairwell DNF...he got to about 6 and a half before getting distracted my one of the nurses... which left me reading his viz.

His op should be done about 4ish... i could imagine he'll be pretty groggy... probably a good idea to give him a bit of a rest or tread very lightly today.

Besides bikes, chasing nurses and smoking does anyone know what may appeal to fiddy while he's unable to ride?? I have a copy of "the rider" if he's into actual reading

maybe we should consider moving one of the drinks closer to paul while he's recovering?
