Punctures are part and parcel of riding fixed. If you divide your skid patches by pi, that gives you the number of puntures you'll get each week.

Thanks for that BMMF. I have wondered why I get twice as many punctures now that I have two fixed bikes to ride.

I got a couple of "punctures" before realising the rim tape had crept away from the spoke hole drillings leaving a razor sharp edge that the innertube blew through and exploded.Worth a look next time you have to take the f*ckin tyre off again

Holy fuck.
I have a shit bike, shit tyres and I need to lose weight.
This is the lfgss thread equivalent of boot camp. I'm off out for a jog. To the bike shop to buy a new bike. With good tyres.

I'm tired of my puncture repair kit glue going off/evaporating after its first use*.
I know most of you hipsters don't actually know how to patch a tube but for the few out there that do - have you found any glue that lasts? Maybe even a workshop bulk option?
*No, I'm not sniffing it away.

not really answering your Q but i've used these self adhesive patches for a few years now mate, they work flawlessly, much better than faffing around with glue.
-

Put a bit of glue on the threads of the lid before screwing it back on seals it tight and stops it evaporating. Not much of a bother unscrewing it again, unless you've not been eating your spinach. Ironically, most vegan hipsters out there won't have a problem with the spinach, but would have a problem with the puncture repairing...

I used one of those years ago and it failed shortly after so I've never really trusted them since.
Plus, I have a bulk amount of normal patches already.
