hehe yeah i had to get the girl who sits next to me to peel the new ones off the sticky back - sausage fingers and no nails to speak off. trying my damndest to do it justice. only concession to quasi-hipsterdom being risers. but nice ones. should be good to go by the end of the week - funds permitting.

:)I am loving this, I really really want to read that, where did you get it from? (and I'm aware that old books tend not to be sold in batches!).

Depends how much you skid really.. I skip stop regularly and can rotate if a bad patch develops. So far so good, they've served me well.

SPDs are adjustable, These not. So depends on settings....
but these are (3 positions) and you can change springs if you want...
and time cleats are thinner than shims so you don't actually walk on them (with specialized and other mtb shoes) -

And eggbeaters are even thinner thus you won't even feel the cleat touching the ground.

Parents recieved my cycling compression bundle yesterday.
Bib knicks, t-shirt, calf thingies, and a matching (non-compression) jersey.Already have some compression undershorts and a long sleeve base layer, that I use for running and rugby (where the calf thingies will get most use). Certainly seams to help me recover, and mix sports. It will be interesting to see how it works for cycling.

skins stuff is great. apart from the bib shorts which didn't have a leg gripper so they ride up a-la Forstermann.
I had to flog mine as I grew too big for them

I've ordered the 3/4 length ones as summer is short up here. Plus when it comes I tend to just make use of the light nights and go cycling then. My mighty calves should hold them down.

Thats a quality old-school double!
Fecking Royal Fail just slipped a 'sorry you weren't in' card through my letterbox while i was sitting behind the door waiting, I knew they wouldn't ring the bell. Couldn't find my keys to open the door quick enough. fml.

Sideways Cycles - my new favourite Real Bike Shop. Where else in the uk would you get something as random as this...
...the next day - for a sensible price (phil bolt on, 32 hole, front disc hub in case you're wondering). I'd always avoided buying high end gear in the uk and assumed that the hipster tax was ubiquitous - now i'm grinning like a loon and parcel force haven't seen a penny.
The mother of all pompino builds just got a little closer.

What's the rest of the spec?
I reckon i spent about 40 hours making those decals, and another 40 applying them. Be good to see it ridden. The last 3 builds on it have not been!
