Hope so. Completely missed out on my way in and I've had all day to work on my snappy comebacks.

loads of rozzers about. was hoping for a discussion of my all black, helmetless outfit, but was left to my own devices.
They obviously couldn't see you duh

Interesting:
Tsk if that dog was wearing hi-viz maybe the rozzer would have spotted him and stopped it taking a shit in the begonias. #lightupyourpet.combutnotactuallysetitonfire

Study finds hi-viz clothing has no effect on driver passing distancesBased on this small study, it implies that passing distances are minimal (between viz or no viz). Sadly it shows that even when drivers can cyclists, they still don't provide enough space.
From my own perspective I would rather be seen, than not seen. It may make the difference between a driver pulling out in front of you or not.

It's not what you wear, it's where you ride, that gets you space

Quite amusing series of tweets of the enforcement on this feed. Not exactly consistent or balanced....
I had a similar idea for a Raspberry Pi project last week.
I was thinking of setting up a remote unit at a set lights with a camera running for a rush hour.
Then collect it & review the results to see how many cyclists jumped the lights vs cars and work out the %'s and see which group is the worst offender.

judging from my ride to work this morning I think London coffee sales has increased by 5% almost every one of them in big bomber high viz jackets and leather gloves had a steaming coffee.

I cycled through 3 heavily policed junctions on CS7 on my home from work today, in the dark. Not one of them pointed out I hadn't turned on my rear light. Absolutely rubbish. No wonder this country is in the shocking state is it. God only knows what they teach at Hendon nowadays, but it isn't how to spot a bike with no back light, thats for sure.

Missed them on the way in (early, gym, do u even lyft?). On the way home at about 18:15 only saw one set and they were at the exit of the smaller of the E&C gyratories at the exit towards Kennington. Completely missing all the bellends and over-revving motorbikes at the busier lights outside the Tai Tip Mein restaurant.

Only po-po were at Waterloo Stn lights tonight; one was a bicycle cop and they were completely ignoring us. Dude with no lights, helmet or hi viz spent whole red light completely unharrassed.

No cops west at all. Bayswater, notting hill, she bu, uxbridge road. Not a sausage.

I was stopped this morning for cycling with my lights on during day light… stupid use of police time. No useful advice on how to cycle safely at all. People cycling up the inside of buses at junctions where theyare stopping people for listening to headphones. What a waste.
When I challenged him if it was illegal his response was that he didn't know and was just there to offer safety advice.
wtf?! -

They were in Brixton on the way home... They'd pulled over a very angry African dude in his motor, looked like it was all gonna kick off...

This^
It wouldn't have anything to do with all the positive publicity this scheme got? All those pointless and ill-informed warnings, blissfully ignored car/truck issues and some ped still gets hit by a bus.

Darwin Award to the young lady who decided to RLJ at the junction of Brixton/Stckwell Road... I could see six plods from my vantage point... 'Mazing...
There were lots around on my route in this morning...
I don't really RLJ much anymore tho'...
this. i saw a woman get pulled over on st georges road for RLJing with a bright yellow cop stood next to the traffic light. *and *she must have passed the two clusters of police stood on the pavement a little way back.
as it happens there was no danger in the RLJ, but i would say that if you haven't looked carefully enough to spot a bright yellow policeman at the junction you shouldn't be be going through red lights. or green lights seriously.

Hey they stopped 1 HGV and told 'bicyclists' to wear helmets and hi-vis, what would I do without them?!

Fucking bellends.
Never worn high viz in my life, never worn a helmet except when racing. If one of these helmets thinks that stopping me and advising me on either after having successfully navigated the streets of London for almost 20 years with almost zero incident then they can fuck off.
What a completely and utterly useless waste of time. I could direct them to an area where 8/10 car drivers are on their phones. Actually give them something to do -

Comical this morning- guy jumps the line into the ASL outside the half moon in herne hill, pulling up ~2 inches from my elbow alongside me.
Looking down at him it takes a while for him to notice me- he's sending a text whilst rolling a fag.
He winds down the window and shouts "sorry mate! Have a safe cycle!" Then follows me through Brixton, getting as close to me as he can whilst sounding his horn.
Coppers are nowhere until after he makes an illegal turn, giving me one last cheerful toot oh his horn and vanishes toward clapham.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-25100379I still haven't seen any on my commute.
I would prefer it if they didn't have odd officers in the first place.
