  • Fuckety bollocks. Bell gone.

    Shit.

    ?????

    I think.

  • that's the good thing about it - use them up trying to get wickets, and you can't get the wickets that you KNOW are out.

there were a couple of dodgy decisions in the sydney test. there was an LB decision (asif to north iirc - aus 2nd innings), where it was given out and the skippies referred it. the hawkeye said it was missing the stumps, but it looked plum. the pakis were convinced, even chappell cried bollocks, but it was reversed.

the technology is the only iffy bit for me.

In regards to Hawk eye and Lbw's i don't get it when it say's the ball is only half hitting the stump's, if it's been called out then it backs the call but if it's been called not out and challanged then it stay's not out? Surely it's either in or out either way, not both depending on who challanged the call and why!

  • pakis

I know in SA and AUS this is a natural abbreviation, but here it's considered racist.

So, may I be the first to pronounce you, BRM:

    Racist!

  • fucking bbc's going backwards, it's now lost the last 5 mins, somebody let me know when it's all over

    okay -i'll edit - apologies.
it was honestly meant as an abbreviation.

If you are going to trust hawkeye, then it should be out if the ball is hitting the stumps at all, but because of the margin for error, they have deemed it needs to be more than 1/2 the ball.

I think this system is working quite well, it gives teams a chance when umpires get it wrong, it's not supposed to be a tool to try and get wickets where there are none. And as there are only two, they need to use them wisely.

FYI 6 balls left at bunions (bunny onions)

    Repped.
Someone had to tell the Ocker!

Depending on who say's it, apparantly it's being reclaimed much like the n-word and rapers. My mate used to use it all the time and his dad's pakistani.!

But I don't understand why half a ball is OK if the umpire has already given it out, but if given not out the half a ball isn't good enough. Well something like that there's deffo a difference in what is out and not out depending on the umpire's original call.

  • YESSSS no nails left but what hey!!!!!

  • Fuck Yeah!

  • Come on!!!

  • I take it we won!

  • It's a draw, not a win. But feels like the latter!

  • Bitches. Time waisting and ball tempering aside it was another good test for the English.
    Kidboy- No it's a draw!

  • another great test.
as mentioned - fuck 20/20, test cricket is in a bit of a golden age atm

  • Bitches. Time waisting and ball tempering aside it was another good test for the English.
    Kidboy- No it's a draw!

and we can;t lose the series

  • Jesus fuck.

Well, there's been plenty of times when England couldn't force a win in similar circumstances. Collywobbles and Bellend deserved that draw, Kevin Praterson didn't.

Not interested in ball tampering claims (all teams work on the ball as much as they can get away with) sounds like Aussie bad losing talk to me.

  • That's right. England can only lose now. Let's see if England choke at the Wanderers.

I know, i was taking the piss.......but you try telling a saffa they didn't lose that, they will be gutted again!

Now they can only draw a home series against us and they have to beat us first to manage that.

  • bbc again:
"Final ball of the match: LEFT ALONE! LEFT ALONE! ENGLAND WIN THE DRAW - REPEAT, ENGLAND WIN THE DRAW!"

    mint

  • RPM, can't blame me for being bitter about it can you?

  • RPM, can't blame me for being bitter about it can you?

Been there myself, we had some series in recent years where we really should have won, but for the inability to take 20 wickets in time.

SA should really be wondering why it took until the last hour to strike, Eng should be looking at bringing in a 5th bowler.

I think the teams are evenly matched, with SA seamers being more dangerous than ours on a good day, but it's not always a good day.
