maybe England didn't fancy batting last on that wicket? i'll be surprised if this is a high scoring match and very surprised if any team makes 350 in an innings.

The Wanderers used to be a batting paradise and as far as I know it still is. 350 Is at least what you should get to win here, Australia didn't have any problems doing it the last time around either.

It's known to be a result wicket most of the time, my family live up the road and when I spoke to my cousin last week he reckoned it would be good for the pace bowlers...

We can talk about the decision to bat first, well who knows about that, but I don;t think anyone wants to bat last on this one. As for bringing in Sidebottom! what in blue fuck (**© **edscoble) is all that about? fine, bring him in for Pietersen, because we may as well play a bowler for all the runs he's got so far, but for Onions? the one bowler we have who can contain and bowl a good length wicket to wicket..what a cock up.

Sidebottom was good for about one season, nowadays at best he's a poor man's Anderson. Which in itself is very poor indeed.
