  • Actually: You also get trophies for posting! Fuck yes! Stupid LFGSS. We don't even get green pips.

    Have a Silver Arrospok Award.

  • just been through the market , when did the shop selling billionaires boys club and shite gourmet shoes open!!!

not my cup of tea, but im sure it will sell to some, was surprised to see it.

  • when did the shop selling billionaires boys club and shite gourmet shoes open!!!

As soon as TS got the go ahead

  • Ka'pow!

  • Ahhh, know it well....outside the newsagent?

Someone got shot there years ago when I lived on Dalberg Rd

All I got was a money shot.

  • Waitrose planning to open in Brixton...

  • ...about time!

  • i can finally start house hunting

  • Ha!

  • It'll never replace sainsbury in my heart.

  • We live on Coldharbour Lane, opposite Lilford Road, 2 Double Bed Flat with a patio/outside space, double glazing, gas central heating. We currently pay £990 pcm and the landlord wants to increase it to £1020 for the next year.

Is this still a reasonable price for the area?

  • If anything you're currently ripping him off, where do you get the audacity! Move to Dulwich if you want cheaper rents.

  • The guy lives near Dammit so he is clearly deluded.

But seriously though, should I try and negotiate? Something about going into 4 figures irks me as we have asked FA of him for about 18 months. But then I don't want to give him the ammo to get some Camberwell School of Hipsters students in for £700 a room.

  • A £30 increase is less than the rate of inflation, at a time when rents are rising faster than inflation. I'd bite his hand off.

  • Done, thanks for the input. I have only ever rented another 1 Bed before this place and before that I lived in Belfast so it is the most I have ever paid in rent. We can afford it, just wanted to think it out loud, so to speak. Hopefully not too long until the mortgage deposit is sorted.

    Cheers.

  • That's a great deal, Aaron, go for it...

  • Apparently...

The very first Waitrose opened in Streatham in 1955...

  • Was it still opened in 1959?

  • Just a Sainsbury's and Morrisons now

  • Best thing about Streatham now is Kennedy's

  • The first supermarket was in streatham. It was linked to the dairy, I think.

Best thing about streatham now is Boyce da roca.

  • So there's trouble outside the train and tube station following Swamp81...

  • Really? I'm heading that way later.

At least a repeat of the riots might be the death knell for foxtons.
