• I think you told me when that happened to mine, never got round to doing either.

  • Oh that's a shame, coz they actually are really nice people and do seem to care... Still doesn't excuse the poor quality of their shoes though...

  • for that money, you are better off buying these

have these in a 43, which is a tad too small for me.. heartbreaking... the downs of buying online...

  • I asked how they fit and they said similar to a Specialized shoes, easier way to find out.

  • Anyone thinking of getting the chrome's, midway pros/kursk's be aware they do come up bigger than you think, was almost a size and a half over for me. So if you can try them on before you buy..

Sole stiffer than my old DZR Ovis, but the recess for the cleat is shallower.

I've tried the DZR H20's and they are really well made, with a stiffer footbed and a nice deep recess for the cleat...

Think DZR have taken on board some of the feedback from customers and are redesigning/adjusting their shoes. I'm going to grab a pair of the H20s before the weather changes to get me casually through our oncoming wet winter..

  • These look like they could be decent.

  • If rather look like slightly less of a twat wearing my mavics that wear those and just look stupid to cyclists and non cyclists alike.

  • Indscoble?

  • most people don't have a clue what cycling shoes are/what they look like and just think you're wearing twat shoes. Especially when you're falling over indra

  • That doesn't bother me, what I'm saying is why make a 'casual' cycling shoe that looks just as ugly and/or unfashionable as a regular cycling shoe while not as functional?

Walking is no trouble in decent MTB shoes and I'm sure most people either overlook them or take them for football boots.

  • Most black MTB shoes aren't really noticeable when you're wearing them, and look a lot better than most of those cloghoppers they try to pass for 'casual' shoes.

I can walk in my chromes all day, whereas anything more than a couple of hours in my MTB ones and I feel like throwing petrol on my feet and setting them alight. I'm riding in the city, personally I see no reason to wear specialized shoes or carry regular ones. They don't look half bad, especially their new ones. How much walking can you do in MTB ones before your spine turns into a slinky?

  • I wore my cheapo shimano ones all weekend, not wonderfully comfy but not unbearable.

  • My sidis are fine up to about 15-20 miles walking, then i want to throw them across the street.

  • i find my chromes pretty much exactly the same as my cheapo shimanos. How comfy they are wasn't why i got them. That being said they aren't very nice looking either

I have walked around in my mavics all day in cities before, just as comfy as any shoe I own.

My problem is not with casual clipless shoes though, I own a pair but I wouldn't if they didn't look like shoes I'd wear anyway like the ones in the link.

What do you have? It's the rubber bit at the front that pisses me off. An update doesn't have them, hilariously just as I bought mine, they go and release the damn things. Not bad looking.

Spoken like a true young 'un (said in the nicest of ways). As to those in the link, they should be put in a microwave, which is put into an oven at 500c followed by a herculean throw into a raging volcano.

  • Anyone have any idea when the Giro Republic will be out? really need to get some city shoes and liking the idea of replaceable soles.

Tempted to buy these... you CAN get black/black, but it seems only on Giro site themselves. Everywhere else sells Black/Gum (as they call it). $150 is a fair bit though.

  • Ugly. Look like golf shoes. And nobody wants that.

  • I just looked at the SPD Chrome Kursksksksks on alwaysriding.co.uk and they seem to have gone up £35 in the last few months.

  • Hipster tax...I still want some though

  • rather be seen in roadie shoes than golf shoes!

i'll happily hang around in my roadie shoes, i feel proud in a weird way, just so impractical
