New DZRs from £62.99
http://urbancyclery.co.uk/index.php?route=product/manufacturer/product&manufacturer_id=22Just bought a pair of Minnas. Hopefully I won't get any of that 'we have run out of stock' bullshit like I got from Rutland Cycling.

Sweet! Was going to get a pair of those Link's from alwaysriding but just got them for £27 cheaper, thanks! It's also nice to support a business in my home town considering how particularly shit the local economy is down there.
My Tosca's are still going strong but it will be nice to have another pair to wear/that are warmer for winter.
Ahhh can't wait! I wish I'd paid that extra few quid for faster delivery instead of being stingy and choosing the free postage.

I picked up my new DZR's yesterday and I fitted the cleats into them today! Urban Cyclery were lovely, I emailed after placing my order to ask if I could pay an extra £5 for the quick post, but I got a reply saying they'd sent them priority and not to worry about the extra £5 :) great customer service!
Here are some pics
I made a right pigs ear of cutting out the soles but it was very satisfying, and weirdly on the other foot the surface underneath was white, not black as seen in this pic. Not sure if that's a manufacturing error or on purpose.
Looking forwards to riding with these. The shoes are much thicker than the Tosca, so I think there might have to be some breaking in done before they're truly comfy.

Plz. Just get some decent cycling shoes. Not some skate hybrid.
my chromes are much stiffer soled than any of the 5 pairs of sidi I have had. (Fire, Dominators, Eagles and Dragon)
they are not as light, but I don't care. -

I've had my chrome kursk pros for a couple of weeks now, bought from alwaysriding.co.uk. Very pleased with both so far! No issues with the heel slipping, but my shimano cleats do stick out quite a bit. Still very walkable.

Been wearing these for about a week now, really good, especially seeing as i got them for £20 on ebay, would recommend if you can get cheap but not as nice looking as DZR's or chromes, definitely feel strong sturdy and durable though.
Still prefer spd-sl to spd, so im going to keep my sidis and sl pedals for summer when long long rides return

If you aren't blessed with feet larger than size 45 (US12), you can have any shoe made into a cycling shoe:
Cheers!

Lets just hope he didn't write the blurb:
"Today you are set out to ride a bicycle to get somewhere.
Those high performance garments are left behind in favor of more flattering threads.
Can any shoe be a cycling shoe?
Hundreds of miles logged riding and walking, trial and error, design and redesign, finally....
The answer is yes." -

He does.
A quick DNS check says that RetroFitz is owned by him.
I'm going to leave one post though, having seen his bicycle site too he's just one of us and is a bit klutzy at marketing. At least his post and link was on topic and helpful, even if it was an advert and could be considered spam.

http://www.retrofitz.com/index.htmlIts a shoe conversion kit, though personally I think cutting the sole out of an old spd shoe is a better option
