• They were limited edition and not available in the uk. I had them sent to a friend in the US.
    I guess they've sold out, sorry F :-s

  • What are people's fave non-spd trainers for riding in? I'm looking for
    a)half decent looking trainer style
    b)stiff-ish soles
c)narrow in the toe (no crank rub)
d)good smooth-ish sole (not chunky tractor tyre) for getting into clips/straps.

Anyone found anything good? I like Nike Okwahn but they've pretty much disappeared for now.

    ta.

  • My Nike Air Force 1's are my favourite to ride in when I'm on my bike with cages...does all of the above.

Puma Speedcats tick all the boxes except the sole could be stiffer.

  • Cool, cheers Corns.
I was just a bit confused about the plate too, like isn't it optional? Don't remember putting them on my sidis.
I'm sure it'll all become apparent when I go to do it.

Seems to be that you either put the cleats on or put the plate on. Not sure why you'd cut the hole out unless you were putting cleats on though.

Ah, so the plates (they're plastic but have 2 holes in) are if you don't put cleats in. I do want cleats so need to cut.

    Makes sense now.

    Cheers BQ.

  • I guess they are for people who change their mind about clipless but have already cut their shoes up.

  • I have a pair of unword DVS X Cadence shoes size 10 I'd like to get rid of. These are the waxed canvas ones, so they are waterproof. http://www.thefootdown.co.uk/2010/11/03/dvs-cadence-winter-shoes/

They're not clipless though, so probably wrong thread.

I had the previous non waterproof incarnations and loved them, stiff sole, very comfy, looked good

  • snoops
Those look pretty good.Yours are US 10 or UK 10? Low or Mid top?

  • Waterproof shoes, nice. They'd be awesome clipless too.

So I need to pad my dzr's out, they come up huge. Can anyone recommend a nice padded shoe liner?

Only just saw this ^ pootsmanuva ... Interesting... I'd agree the soles are substantial enough (become my skateshoe if choice for a while when I got sore feet from skating longish distances) but I find them too wide for the kinds of flat pedal I use: single-sided 'track' ones, like the basic MKS. Then again I'm a size 9 or 9&1/2 ish in Nikes, perhaps you're smaller sized. The Okwahn I mentioned are quite narrow in the toe, sort of a basic climber's 'approach' shoe. And tge have a stiff sole, reinforced with a sandwiched layer of hard plastic.

  • @BQ I don't know the puma you mention... googling...

  • ... ugh... I hate them.

  • Anyone with Kursks fancy telling me how the sizing is? I can be anything from a 10 1/2 to a 12, I'm a 46 in Shimano spd shoes.

How can you not think these are lush?

Especially old ones with Sparco branding
    Yum

£19.99 but not in my size....

    They look alright.

  • I ordered a pair of those from On-one/Planet X. What I actually got had giant velcro straps and a big ankle protector, didn't look like a casual trainer at all.

  • They look like they have special needs.

    UK10 low top

  • Anyone got a source for Kursk Pros in the uK actually? I thought Wiggle had em but turns out they only got the non spd ones

  • Always riding do them:

I've used them before and their customer service is excellent.
