Or record for a bit more

Gaston's seems like a record, silly prices for a seatpost even if nos, sometimes they come out 2nd hand for much less, keep an eye!

There's a used Chorus on ebay at the moment currently attracting bids of £50+ with just over a day to go.

That's fucking lovely!

Due to fucked up proportions (long torso/arms to relatively short legs), this bike actually fits me pretty well.
Curious. The set up looks like it is compensating for the frame being a bit too tall and too long for the rider. But, interweb bike fit, meh. -

Olmo Giro. Have the remaining Tri Colour parts ready just needs a respray and then on to the rebuild.

Thanks to London Bike Kitchen for showing me how to press a PF bottom bracket and lending me their hacksaw. Very helpful.

I'd like to get as big tyres as possible on my roadie, would anyone like to hazard a guess if I could get anything larger than 28's in there? For reference there's 23's in there now and I have had 25's with guards in before.

Good catch, the 2015 Volare is ugly as fuck.
-
• #95844
Oh really? I've not yet seen it - yeah really happy with it.... Well, the way it looks. I've not ridden it yet.
-

I have, almost all of them are ugly.
The hybrid (entitled Smithfield) is nice, basically a flat bar tour de fer.
The nice thing about the newer Volare is that they all come with braze on for electronic.

JB in nice looking bike shock ;)
Well apart from the 'dale, seriously though, nice work the tires colour gets disguised with the paint scheme too, which is only a positive

Just finished a town/path singlespeed for my friend Ralfh who helps me out with frame spraypainting and metal work. After lacing the wheels and screwing on the freewheel I found out this is a rather silly wide item by Sturmey Archer
Threw the chainline off by some way but I solved it with a cheapo* but much slimmer alternative, the chain is nice & straight now
The Batavus frameset he painted (before Ridley brought out the team Lotto TdF bikes, coincidentally...) has a relaxed geometry with lots of clearance, now nicely filled up by the Kojak 35ers. they look sturdy and the ride is pretty comfy! I think I'll use those on a couple more bikes.
Saddle angle may have to be adjusted, but I'm pretty happy with the result
- does the job but proves noisy at times while just pedalling forward... can anyone recommend a cheap, well made and durable single speed freewheel?
