I had one of them, given to me by spotter, for a few minutes. Then I tried to fit it and it snapped. I think they're made of balsa wood.

Ha was about to say, I wouldn't trust one of them

I completed the build of the Cyfac (except from eventually lighter wheels and pedals) and I am pretty happy with it:
The next one is not so different as it is also a custom alloy frame, made in France:
It needs some polishing before I put back together the EDCO groupset.

mmmm http://forums.roadbikereview.com/components-wrenching/itm-stem-problems-14267.html
As a disclaimer, after the one we snapped was inspected, it showed clear signs of long-term fatigue, so it looks like some other mug had over tightened it, not us. Unless it's NOS I'd bin it.

levers need to be elsewhere and that goes along with the bar angle.

Not at all. This is perfect for a classic bend.

Shifting hydraulic brake levers (with internal routing for the rear brake), that sounds very modern.
Not at all. This is perfect for a classic bend.
I hope so. I was not sure how to get the position dialled with these bars (Deda Newton Shallow) so I tried a few setups for the levers and this one works well for me!

New road bike. Think this ones gonna be a keeper. Swapped the stock R500 wheels out for Archetypes on 105. Not much lighter but waaay stiffer. Will do till I can afford something better and will be good winter wheels.
Not really a fan of black/white/red colour scheme so I'm in the process of covering the red with flourecent pink vinyl.
