Damn that's nice. As soon as it arrives we need to go for a geared ride (assuming mine is finished around about the same time) -

did you buy the forks separately? if so where?
cheers
Yeah, the forks that came with the frame were far too nice to drill (double crown mmm) so I bought these...off here! Guy called "moreearsthangears" - really nice bloke and he did me a great deal. Was planning on painting them to match, but this orange is perfect!

powdercoating definitely does kill the detail a little bit, lugs look much crisper with enamel.
ORLY?

@ Atomcf: Snap!
Just picked this up from edmundro, going to be building it up as a new beater/polo/tag bike

ORLY?
yes, really. don't fret, i have a powdercoated frame too. your pic shows it perfectly actually- the powder wells a little in the crevices and often comes out a tad too thin along the edges (the latter not visible on your photo). the overall looks fine of course, but it definitely looks different to a fine enamel paintjob.

Charge do some brown bar tape, no where near as expensive as the brooks stuff, but also not as nice.

Actually fizik do brown tape almost identical to the brown Brooks and look nicer than the Charge one

lush!! the headbadge look great in that colour, do you have anymore picture?
here's Alex's bike close up, I didn't realise it was powdercoated until he told me;
powdercoating still look great either way, unless you're really anal about it.
-
• #9266
the lugwork isnt really comparable...
-
• #9267
of course not, it's just an example to show how the lug look when powdercoated.
-
• #9268
cheers, will do a few searchers, silver chain me thinks too!
-
• #9269
True, but it is a really strong finish. There's not so much as a scratch on it after 3 months riding almost everyday.
defintely, already after 3 week I got a handful of chipped and scratch on my bike, but on my missus' bike, there's hardly any evidence that it has been ridden in all condition, locked up thousand of times, etc.

i'm not anal ed, i'm just stating facts. you can't beat powder for value or durability.
