I didn't get an answer to this in the Carbon repair thread, so thought I'd post it here to see if anyone could shed some light on my situation:
I'd like to think there is a way of fixing it. Maybe by layering a couple more layers of carbon on the top of the saddle and some extra on the underside where the crack is. Anyone have any recommendations?
Sand the area with 1000 then 2000 wet&dry paper.
Clear coat over it.
Then eBay ;-)

You can fix it, no problem!
Get some epoxy resin and carbon cloth. Sand it down a bit, apply epoxy and carbon cloth over it and epoxy on cloth again, using a painting brush. Let it dry for 24 hours. Sand it down and put another layer again. Epoxy and carbon will make it stiff and will fix it. More layers, more strength.
Use gloves and mask when dealing with epoxy resin! Buy some quality resin, like west system or whatever it is available to you. Just not those cheap stuff in little tubes. If you cannot find carbon cloth, try to get some fiberglass cloth. It will work too. Also, there are different types of cloth patterns and they affect the strength. So check it out,
Cheers.

Have you got enough brake cable to flip the stem if you need to?
I should do!
Is that stem 6cm long?
nope, 8cm.

Anyway, the Donohue has had a couple of minor updates today, new, more puncture resistant tyres and a new and really clean looking chain. All in preparation for riding it to and from Paris in a couple of weeks. I'm absolutely loving riding this bike.

Yep, the tourguard ones. I've had them on my other bike for ages and love them, really good grip and I've never had a puncture with them. Last for ages too.

Fantastic! Absolutely love the build. Remember watching the frame on ebay but didn't have the funds/had a roadbike to build.

I run them on my pompino too, I love them, rode through lots of glass and never had a puncture.

^^Cheers, I'm really pleased with it. I got the frame for an absolute steal, even after having to pay to get a stuck BB and half a carbon seatpost from a previous owner removed!
