Wrong pic again :)) I seem to have misplaced my straps so I went back to the cages. IT is pretty fast . Just tried to spray over a few scratches and ran out of paint so i used some silver for extra ratiness. Will buy original colour once i have time to go to a paint shop

I can't get most stems to tighten in the steerer on this, any idea why? Standard diameter as far as I know. Some stems work, cinelli ones never get fully tight.
Need a 100/110 on this.

When the York velodrome opens this year I'll take the levers off, but for now...

If you can get wedge stems tight but not conical expansion ones like Cinelli, it would tend to indicate that the steerer is ovalised in the area where the wedge sits, probably caused by previous over-tightening of a wedge type stem.

Is there anything that can be done? Is it possible to shim it? It's pretty annoying!
When this goes back to track I might just stick a thread less adapter on anyway, so might not really matter.

• #90959
threadless adapter still uses a wedge system though no?
-
• #90960
Wedge is fine, it's the conical cinelli type that doesn't. I guess because the expansionis over a smaller area than with a wedge?

This is super. How is the ride compared with 700c? Any change in the handling?

Black chainring bolts added. Thant is all. Think it's time to retire the winter fixed rig and get on some carbonbonbon. Oh and I know #needsgumwalls.

Getting there. Narrower drops and proper road levers installed yesterday. Although does feel like I need a shorter stem again. It never ends..

^Ya mon,
Lookin tight
-
• #90967
if you have the same stem for risers you will need to cut the stem length by roughly 70mm for road set up.

quoted, for when Tester arrives.

I think he's kidding, on the Pendle I'd use a 120mm stem for road setup and a 130mm for riser, could go longer but then why bother with riders?

That's an ideal setup IMO.

Just won the auction on E-bay for this (my offer was 203,- Euro and it went for 201,-). Seems like a good price for MAX? It´s 49 cm ST and ca. 57 cm effective TT since it´s a compact geometry frame. I´m pennyless at the moment so need someone to acknowledge this rather impulsive buy!

Frame isn't columbus max, forks are.

Although i acknowledge *and *condone.
SL42 wheels are now sold, put the CXP33x7710 wheelset on there.
