A flipped stem would dispense with a bit of the scoblestack, and it would line up better with the very sloped top tube.

True. I shall suggest it to Cycliste when I finally chop down the steerer tube. Although I suspect her response will be 'Meh'. Function over form for her.

rode it on the road for the first time today (have done some rollers sessions on it) as my commuter is at the shop. It's fast. Certified wanker Cervelo commuter.

New seatpost and saddle for the KHS, in my rush to get out of the flat I somehow ended up installing the saddle about as far back as it'll go, which has now been adjusted. It also got a full windsor mud guard which seems to work pretty well so far.

looks great. How was the cable routing? fishing around in the the bb for the cables is always fun..
Is that the dual position post? useful but the single position version does away with that gap under the saddle (purely aesthetic).

So rad. Just needs gumwall front and some prettier cranks.
Looks a pretty good fit too.

I need to stop spending money on bikes so nicer looking cranks will have to wait! At some point soon I'll move the front tyre to the rear because the rear's starting to get a bit worn out, then probably a matching tyre for the front. I'm not sure whether to go for a 23c or another 25c, it's pretty tight at the moment.

Your not going to get a 25mm in there.
-
• #88438
that is a 25c
-
• #88439
Although I might have trouble fitting a brand new one in, I'm not too sure.

Are you after a shorter stem for this Loz?
Are you finding the bars on there comfortable?
Would be so nice with gum walls though fam...
-
• #88441
hoizontal stem and bullhorns (those nice nitto ones with the slight sweep back) and agree^ twin panaracer pasela's would look good
also long term solution - try and find a 23mm wide rim, tyres sit lower on them so you'd easily get a new 25mm in there

Ok, then you are going to fit a 25mm then. It's barely worn.

The stem fits well with the risers but I'm after a new one that's maybe a bit shorter to go with the Nitto Rb-010 bars I ordered last night. I'll see how flush I'm feeling when the rear tyre needs replacing and see whether I can justify ordering 2 new tyres rather than 1 because I reckon matching gumwalls would look pretty good too.

• #88444
^^ yeah, I reckon you're right.
a quick photoshop has convinced me double gumwalls are the way to go.

and if anyone has a short, straighter 25.4mm black quill stem, hit me up!

might be of interest ltc.

Looks fast as fuck
Possibly a 2mm or 3mm spacer, yes, if Cycliste doesn't use her tester-approved 'Rule No. 5' stem cap on this bike. The remaining 10mm of spacers above the stem can go. It's got a socking great big steerer tube expander in there anyway, so I don't think the lack of a spacer above the stem will really make any difference.
