  • how short Loz?

    i haz 90mm

  • I'm getting some black DA7600 cranks and a mate is saying I should put them on the pendle but I'm thinking I should strip them back to silver and put them on the orlowski.

    Opinions?

  • OG black?

  • I don't think so, getting them in a decent trade so I don't really mind. I think they're gloss black powder coat like my on ones.

I've just got a 70mm from kinoko thanks to dry which I think should be about right. Thanks anyway though!

  • (I know I'm a bit late but) The Khs looks absolutely lovely Loz, the glittery forks work well with the frame.

  • ^^ Like it.
Gaffertape saddle is a nice touch

Cheers, I'm absolutely loving it. You can thank the previous owner (Tp88) for the glittery forks, I wouldn't have thought of such a rad combo.

  • What frame is that Ollie?

  • Saddle is a boardman one that started to peel so went a bit overboard with the tape
Frame is a 2006 langster with alpinas I had Dakin, hangs well as a whole for a thrown together build

  • By far the nicest alu Langster I've seen

  • looks great. How was the cable routing? fishing around in the the bb for the cables is always fun..

Is that the dual position post? useful but the single position version does away with that gap under the saddle (purely aesthetic).

Cabling was a fucking PITA if I'm honest - this version was just before they introduced proper internal sleeves from the TT to the cable stops (though I've had my fair share of problems with internally sleeved frames in the past). I lost a fair bit of skin on my fingers and got through a fair chunk of my swearing repertoire! Cabling around the bb was easy enough with the aid of the old bent spoke/coathanger tool.

The frame came with that seatpost, but it suits me fine as this bike is for TT's as well as crits and shorter, faster rides - so it gives me lots of flexibility to set it up for different purposes. The Rourke is now my long distance ride of choice.

Dan, that thing looks mean! Seriously fast looking.

    ;)

    Looks fast as fuck

:) Initial tests show that it is "slippery as fuck"... Can't wait for it to stop raining so I can really put it through it's paces :) .. I was struggling to keep it under 35km/h on my commute home yesterday, it just wants to go.

  • Funny looking dental surgery....

Creative Dentists... "what was the brief again?"

  • Might as well post this as it's a bit of a different build. Took me ages to source out some of the parts, mainly the 22.2mm pursuit handlebars! We'll see how it holds though, the hydraulic setup is clearly overkill but I always love to experiment.

  • Still need to get some black electrical tape to clean up the bars :-/

  • get to know a good dentist; possibly informally at a social gathering; that way you get a discount

  • Pre-Cursa with disc is a good look, I like it. Not sure about how good-looking the cockpit and lever setup is but I suppose that's more of a practical matter.

meh. what you're thinking only happens in Premium Rush where noone knows how to balance and shift their weight around on a bike.

Sick endo at the very worst.

  • I really don't understand the logic of that front brake

  • It's for slowing down or stopping without wearing out tyres and knees. Plenty use them.

Discs are probably the most efficient form of brakes in wet weather.

    Hope that helps.

    Put risers on the Vig

Pretty much. Running a 50x12 at the moment and after 3 months it was getting old fast. Plus had some nightmares with callipers in the wet with the other bike. The modulation on this is very impressive, hard decelerations at 30+ mph is easily done. Don't think I'm going back anytime soon!

  • 50x12, why?
