You mean dome nuts are bottoming out on the axle before they start gripping the dropout? Why not just get proper track nuts?
-
• #87003
Ah, just looked at you thread. You have male bolts inserted into female threads in the axle, non? And they are bottoming out? Get shorter bolts, or extend the female threads in the axle.

Aero brake is the future.
Will no doubt look better with bulls.

Yes and yes.
Alright so I think shorter bolts is an easier option. I need to find those now, brilliant! -

Don't go too short. general rule of thumb is to have at least one bolt diameter of thread length engaged when they're fully inserted, that works out at about 6 full turns of thread engagement for the standard ISO coarse series thread.

Sold the pina Vince?
The Pinkarello is at my parents in France.
I am just missing a 27.2mm seatpost and a chain to use it again.
Current set up is:
DA7710 track cranks and Sugino75 Chainring - all polished
Pinarello Stem with Deda drops
HED3 front wheel
Novatec rear wheelIt will look good once finished but I won't get to use it much.

I've looked some more and its a combination on needing a shorter bolt but also, the cones that the bolt go through, don't fit over the 10mm part so even with a shorter bolt, the cone wouldn't clamp the dropout.

Is there much difference in having the brake at the rear compare to the conventional front?
Yes, but his front wheel is not ideal for polo.

Just add washers

Pink headset is a bold look by the way. Any idea what frame you want to put it on?
-
• #87017
Currently looks like best option is lavander Big Block, will do black fade on it so headset stands out, pink hubs are overdue, when frame will be purchased I will start a CP as this should be better than my dos(sadly)

Does anybody know of any tyres that come in all white (no black stripe etc) and in a larger size like 28c? I also don't really want to pay more than £20 a tyre.
Schwalbe Delta Cruiser in cream, looks ok even when not pristine.

Sorry to ask another question, I put it in the project thread too but just thought more people see this
So on the mixte frame, I just checked and the wheel spacing is obviously 120
The frame however, I'm not sure whether it was a different spacing and has been changed but seems to be 120 as well. Its that, with the nuts tightened, the gap between the inside surface of the nut and the outside surface of the hub is a good 7mm.
The dropouts are just about 4mm wide so although the spacing is correct, they don't fit.
I can just get those* spacers and put them on the outside of the dropouts, before the nuts?
