Did I piss on your crops in FarmVille?

^^^For someone complaining about an overreaction relating to something menial over the internet, you're doing a good job of doing the exact same thing.

Oh, the irony. So many emotions...

"I actually love this Vivalo, but I don't think this particular build is utilising its full potential."
Fixed.

Meh. You say I've over-reacted, but claim that a part of you has died due because of someone else's component choices on their bike? I suspect I'm not the only one to spot a teeny weeny bit of irony there.
I guess I'm just not really cut out for the Bike Porn/Anti-Porn/dissing other people on Current Projects thing. Maybe it's a personal failing on my part, but I really just don't care enough. I like seeing other people's bikes, but if someone else likes something different to me then that really doesn't bother me. Maybe I should be more judgmental. Maybe I should delude myself into thinking that other people care about my subjective tastes. But I'm not going to, because at the end of the day, I still don't really care.
Anyway, I'm off to find one of the more important things in my life which I claimed to have. Must be one around here somewhere, even if they are proving rather hard to find at present.
Dan, have a Snickers.

urgh so many whoppers

In my opinion mostly all mudguards with the exception of Edscoble's collection make any bike uglier the more you add, some lights and a rack and a pump the less pleasing to my eyes.
but for winter you definitely need them. Saw a guy on a beautiful conversion with a saturated arse and that looks far worse. Why don't you keep the rear ghetto mudguard and add one of my favourite Ghetto style on the front
cost nothing and works
sorry this was meant for Spotter

I think it's because you change it so frequently, when it all ready looks boss hog.

Vivalo (on previous page) looks good enough to me.
Get a Nitto stem if you can afford it, but leave the rest as is. -
• #82712
Glad some one likes it!
just want to fit some 75's then its done for now, until i can afford a new wheelset
-

I like your Vivalo too.
I don't think it's being picked on per se, just being used as an example for what all these picture of bikes threads descend into, i.e. people applying their own subjective opinions to other's bikes.

Testing out stem lengths yesterday for an eventual compact bar and brake levers setup. Shortest stem I had to play with at 105mm was this Mutant.
Bit of an internal dilemma going on right now, I actually think the Mutant looks alright on this particular bike.
Also, 600 seatpost mounted, new saddle on it's way shortly, likewise a more sensible stem. Should really pop out and get the wheels built soon too.

^ Looking good
+1 on the mutant - I've never seen a mutant quill before - much nicer than the Ahead version -

mudguards.... .the.... Edscoble's collection
Is the Edscoble mudguard collection online or accessible for public viewing?

Seriously? was only like that for rain and back pain

Bravo for last page's cry-fest guys.
N.B: Current projects is not the slave thread or porn - bikes are what they are. Not everyone has the money or inclination to vajazzle their bikes with njs/forum-approved component tat.

I like it cos it says "NJS? we give no fucks"

I was thinking about half a 2 liter coke bottle zipp tied to the downtube, but I might just get a crud catcher, they're only 8 quid.
Its also not a ghetto rear mudguard, its a fendor-bendor 3, which is way better than those shit arse savers

Fuck me, just checked back in properly after a good nights sleep. Since when did this place become such a crywanking little bitch fest? Seriously. No one gave a shit about the comment for 4 to 5 hours after I posted it, then one numpty takes exception when it doesn't really concern them and gets all upset that we all just can't agree on things.
I'm not saying that this thread is the porn thread, but if the bike is posted here then comments and critiques are to be expected and if you can't deal with it then you either need to HTFU or GTFO. How many times have we told Scoble about his saddle angle or Indra about his ill fitting frames?
I'll just reiterate my thoughts for those who haven't been following or those with selected memories or quoting abilities. I don't mind the Vivalo as it is, but personally (yes, in my opinion) I think the frame could be so much more.
@A&P: It's your bike to do what you want with and I'm glad you're enjoying it. If I had it I'd dress it up differently though.

Keep in mind its an on going project and i'm still not sure what my preferences are.
just curious, how would you build it then?

You make it sound like there's something wrong with it.
Dafuq brah? Do you only read what you want to read? Like the whole sentence about it being a turn of phrase?
Get some sleep because you seem grumpy and you don't quite seem to be grasping the concept of understanding.
We know you care really.
