Frame to have stuck seat post extracted and repainted.

Swap white ind for SRAM force plus goldtec.
Front wheel just for show, wi have something else (not sure what yet).

In the meantime, I finally received the new forks for the GT:

I'm slightly annoyed as I had ordered bits for the GT but the carrier "couldn't find the address" while the other part of the order got here fine... It was a box full of nice black bits.

just put this together, took it for a spin. going to tweak a few things..... would also like a new wheelset.

nope, not original. they are a little slacker than the fork that would have been made for the frame...... but i don't have any issues with toe overlap......that makes me happy.

Nice beater. Freewheel? Otherwise get some foot retention.

I know dis, i also teach the ways of foot retention. But its on the freewheel side, way more needs doing to it

Brother is looking into getting a new road bike.
How shit is Sora? (I said it would probably be ok but suffer poor durability - especially as it's to be a training bike)

for that budget secondhand I reckon you could get a recent ally frame, carbon fork, 105, aksiums and decent finishing kit

i've received these handlebars, whats everyones opinion on this dent in the middle? is it supposed to be there? i've never seen anything like it. safe to use?

I've not seen a stem that clamps in that area, although it looks like one that does has been over tightened. I wouldn't worry about it, it's in a relativity safe area.

Or... Add a few quid and get a full carbon SRAM Rival / Shimano Ultegra build from Planet X which are probably also in the classifieds for less.

Just attached this bottle cage bracket.

Does anyone have any bottle cage recommendations? I chucked a cheap one on there for now but the bottle doesnt feel very secure.

Is this the tacx one? I hated it. The minoura ones feel solid but they are made for 2 bottles. Havent found a nice but not pricey option for this yet. Anyway I will be selling the only bike without bottle cage mounts tomorrow so I dont care much ;)
