I'd get the rossin checked over by someone who knows what they're looking at tbh, DT bulges can turn nasty

Pretty sure that's what the original forks on this look like.
Update from seller: "I bought it in a garage sale, so I have no idea".
Magic.
Going to get it down to Woodrup or Bob Jackson to see what they reckon.

Both wrong! They're 7410.
Not a fan of the 7400 ones, they look too blocky to me and don't seem to fit the rest of the gruppo.

Oh sorry, brain function is at 000.1% as I'm ill as fuck, they are indeed 7410. 7700 are the octalink ones.

Heading out for a leisurely 50-60, maybe you being sick would even up the pace ? (:
Meanwhile, Nevatron's Tokyo Fixed S2 forks have failed, 2nd pair of these I've seen fail like this. Just really fucking glad she had a brake.

I got Probrem!
Any suggestions?
The bike in question:

cheers
Put a fake coaster brake arm on the chainstay.
It wont ruin the "aesthetics" of the bike, you will only notice it if you look for it. But to a cop, it will totally look like you have a coaster brake, you can even demonstrate the functionality by locking up the back wheel.

It is very surprising, seen examples of forks where glue is used to keep the steerer in the crown. I actually have a pair of magura suspension forks which are just glued and have used them for dirt jumping.
Never thought a bond in this area had to be particularly strong.

My new project:
Mega rep to Dae and TM for allowing this to happen:
That's track, lo-pro* and road frames in 531, 653 and 753. I'm done.

awwww yeah. Gorgeous baby blue on drive side, white on top and bottom, salmon pink on NDS. Goes with the rad fadez on the lo pro.

I'm looking for a little forum advice here, my lo-pro bucked me off pretty recently when i was starting to apply a little torque through the drive while climbing a fairly small hill, I'd just got out of the saddle and the drivetrain fully skipped, the chain jumped & i ended up with some fairly tasty road rash. as well as a nicely bruised ego
I got the bike in the stand today and looked over the drive train, i was assuming i would just realise my drivetrain was just worn and needs replacing, but the chainrings don't seem that badly worn? neither do either of them seem bent to the eye if i look down them in line with the drive.
I took the bike for a casual spin around the block, again shifting seemed fine but I soon noticed a strange clicking noise. back in the stand and a closer look revealed this..
in the stand, (Im guessing this is because i cant put the same torque through the drive with no resistance) it makes no ticking noise and definitely no chain skip but if i run the drive in reverse it occasionaly makes the chain miss teeth like this:
Im assuming this is the cause of the chain jump that bucked me off and a new chain may solve the issue but would this have happened because of the broken link or could the broken link be a result of some other problem within the drive? would i be best of changing the chain or going for a full drive train update?

I think you got it, I would say putting power down broke a link or finished the job hence skipped chain with the engagement problems.
Looking good Doug. 7400 chainset would set it right though..
