Think he is yeah, but fuck V Twin. There's a reason he is selling it.

I'll be honest, I got hope discs (with bigger than standard rotors) on the mtb and the finely tuned (heh) BB7s on the Boardman aren't that different in the power stakes.
The reason he's selling I'm guessing is that he's an upgrade whore.

You haz mtb?! Pic?

• #80958
My only concern with the cdf is that I'll just keep upgrading it as soon as I get it and there is only so much you can polish a 520 frame before it gets silly...
-
• #80959
yeah so you can shift all the upgrade components to the nice bike when you get it :)

Y u no get fixeh?

needs shorter stem and bigger tyres but here...
Anyway, 520 is a solid material for a commuter.
The Nevatron singlespeedshopperofdeath is 520...

I have a caadx 105 I got through cycle2work to commute on, 35 miles each way but only once a week, I've only used it 4 times (to commute on) in the 10 months or so i've had it. Very nice bike and great around the fields but I really don't get on with gears and it feels slow on the road, probably due to having cx tyres on it still.
Remember to use evans price match! I saved almost £250, It might bring some slightly higher spec bikes into your budget?

^^ unfortunately nobody seems to drop the price of CdF's because they're so popular. But I am going to have a proper look when home.

dat cotic soul drool pedalroom link/list of components?
Just soul frame, fox forks, full SLX, hope/mavic wheelset, hope minis and 180mm rotors, thomson post, fake ritchey stem and truvativ bars... and shit tyres that almost worn out after 3 rides.

• #80968
^^they don't price match tweeks.

Why not?
http://www.evanscycles.com/help/price-match
Plus we also match specialist local competitors in store (visit your local store for details)
When I price matched a bike last time the store was not on the list but they still did.

If its for commuting don't bother upgrading. It's going to get ragged doing that sort of mileage. Plus discs on with drop levers / shifters are moving so quickly at the moment it's probably not worth investing in it too heavily. In "upgrades".
The new TPR Hyd (or whatever they're called) look like the best compromise hydro system out there right now IMO.

bought this to replace my dearly departed Canyon winter/commuter/not-so-nice bike:
It's getting Rival, some Dura ace hubs laced to proper open pro ceramics, mudguards and some other stuff. I might even build a bike with matching finishing kit for once too..
-
• #80972
I might even start a thread or something
-
• #80973
Delicious!!^^
-
• #80974
cheers, I've always wanted a Rourke.. but 2 month wait for a fitting, followed by 7 month wait time for a frame... Ooof.

Ahhh, wondered where that had gone... was hoping to snap that up. You're deserving of it though, given your recent misfortune. I look forward to seeing it built. (please drop me a line should you ever part with it ) ;-)
is dammit selling?
