  • There is a thread

a mate has one of those brothers and they're pretty nice frames. What is stopping you using it every day and enjoying it? Just that you're not riding the Viv?

    Can't ride everything at once.

    link me?

Yeah its a nice solid frame, and i am using it every day, but i haven't ridden my Vivalo in over a week now.

making the Brother a single speed is an idea and easily done, but i don't really need one

It's at like the top of current projects.

So don't and keep it as a fixed commuter? Seems like you're trying to create problems here

  • Wrap the Vivalo in helicopter tape and commute on it.

  • ^ do not do this.

  • The logic is one less bike and less hassle, in a way, i don't like owning 2 similar bikes, 3 with the orbit.

    Think it over/over think.

  • Why are you keeping the orbit?

  • I didn't realize you owned that frame, i seen the pics though.

i could commute to work on my Vivalo no problem, i have done many times, its only 3 miles mostly on a cycle path and i can leave it in side so its plenty safe

Why are you keeping the orbit?

Long story, but i'll never sell it

  • Stop moaning :)

    http://www.wheelbuilder.com/aero-disc-covers.html

    From the site:

Wheels that are always incompatible with covers:

    Track or Fixie wheels

  • double corima, no yellow restrap decal and it's fucking great

  • If anyone want to donate (or even locate) a legit, rear, track, clincher, corima 4 spoke... Pls speak up.

Aerospoke is a bit of a compromise I know, at least the hub seems solid.

  • Rear wheel dilemma?

    Why not disc?

  • Disc will happen eventually, I reckon the best option is making one out of my halo rear wheel. Should be a lot tougher than a proper disc innit.

  • Turn the aeropsoke into a disc.

  • Just cut foam sheets to fit the bits between the spokes, stick it in and sand it down.

    A layer or two
of carbon fibre/fibreglass/kevlar and you're done.

  • I wouldn't even bother with the foam, just glue flat sheets of crabon fribĂ© to the rim.

  • Got a bit excited and skidded the Peugeot, doing this to the Continental Grand Prix 4000S rear tyre:

Sorry for the silly question, but is that ok, or do I need a new one to be safe? Not used proper road tyres before so not sure, only Vittoria Randonneurs etc. Don't want it to explode on me.

  • I wouldn't worry much until you start seeing some canvas

  • I wouldn't worry much until you start seeing some Vectran®

    ftfy

  • TM, I think you need one of these

  • I will be in the minority but personally i recon that bike would look best with twin old school corima aero's and compacts on the ergo stem

  • It needs a really chunky fork to interface nicely with the frame at the bottom of the headtube. just looks odd atm

  • Needs aerospokz on the front! haterzgonnahate ;)

If it looked like the fork was designed to go with the frame, it wouldn't look like a Corima

This, or the holy grail of twin clincher track four spokes (if such a thing even exists?)

Alpina Wing TT might suit the frame a bit better?
