I dont use clipless and the inability to both have a midfoot;pedal position and not get toe overlap with front wheel is the main reason.
Midfoot feels so right.

^^ ^
Ah. I have never really experimented. I assumed it was more efficient to have the cleat under the end of the metatarsals.. May give it a go but a little concerned about toe overlap.Who the fuck starts bidding on ebay with 40 mins to go? Are you fucking retarded? I'm still gonna win that shit but you're just bumping up the price FOR NO REASON. FS

Just use ATAC mtb and road pedals? Same cleats.

Can anyone suggest a track (but also street use) chain for around the £10 mark please? Am using a 19t surly fixed cog, not very worn at all on the street, should I get a surly 15t track cog also (as opposed to any other brand)so that wear and tear is as straight forward over all three parts as possible? (minimal noise etc)

too many options on that thread , but thanks mr tester.

this seems too cheap to hold up for long on street as my everyday bike and once a week on track though. Snapping a chain is the worst thing ever. -

KMC K710 Kool.

+1 to the above

Pub bike project is moving on, more labels are on and it's almost ready for the coats of laquer to seal it all,
Dodgy phone pics for nowThat's what I call a pub bike. Love this! (Looks like the London Pride "head badge" is deliberate, and a nice touch. I'd probably go for Fuller's ESB personally...)

Do you know of any? The only road pedals with ATAC cleats I can find are on eBay and they're these crap old ones which are as heavy as the MTB pedals. There are some called Time Axion but I can't find them for sale anywhere...

^ I know what you're talking about. They look good and they're cheap, but they're RUBBISH.

• #77839
These maybe? I run atac on my polo bike and would most likely get a pair of these for my road bike
-
• #77840
Yeah those are the eBay ones I refered to which are apparently just as porky as most of the mountain bike pedals. They don't look amazing either so wouldn't get them just on that basis. Are those the ones you meant whatok? Or we're you talking about the black Axion ones?

Close ups:
The build is just for this moment while Rossin is in for repair.
You're right - comfort is the main reason for a Flite, it's my daily ride bike though.
Aches, it's Nitto M184 STI.Dibs frame. Please?
Non original forks though?
I may have some Flat Crown De Rosa forks spare actually if you're interested... -

I have these, don't use them as I thought they didn't feel as positive as aliums. like your foot felt like it could rock left to right slightly...

KMC 510HX or nothing else

These are the ones I can't find, they look similar so might be the same but could be worth a go if I can find somewhere that sells them.

KMC 510HX or nothing else
+1
510HX is a very strong chain that looks good too
Wouldn't get too het up about it tho - Any chain by a known brand fitted correctly will work fine - KMC410 may not earn the admiration of your peers, but it won't snap on you either - I had one on a brakeless rat bike that rarely saw any oil and it lasted 2 years without incident - Swapped it out for a 510HX because I lost my nerve on big descents. -

new steed, complete with road muck from yesterdays ride. Fit still needs fiddling, I think I need to be a little lower.
