Sounds good! I looked at getting a second hand Hemlock before I ended up with my Corsair, always loved Cotic frames.
Yeah me too. I've always agreed with Cy's design ethos. Had two Souls thus far. Current one (frame) will most probably be up for sale once the Rocket is built. On paper the Rocket has been my ideal mtb ever since it came out. Always wanted a 853 steel mid travel full susser with long, low, slack geometry. The Rocket ticks all the boxes. Can't wait to ride it.
Oh yeah, couple of things I missed off the build list: Hope ceramic BB, Canfield Bros Crampon Mk 1 pedals. Gearing will be 1 x 9: 38T ring and 11-34 cassette.

Why dodgy radial and not crossed?
Hub comes from a factory radial (sonic Paris roub). Could have done 1x, but thought I'd play safe&stick to design intent...

I think this falls firmly under the miscellany part of the thread title but I gave the wheels on my road bike a makeover.

Yeah sorry pooface, I imagine I'll be keeping the frame forever even if every other part changes over the years. Dibs noted anyway!

Yep, mountain bike shoes though <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Know of a pedal system which allows both?

mountain bike shoes on road bike >>>>>>>>>>>
both cleats? no. why would you do that?
-
• #77820
As in road cleats which fit MTB shoes. I like how easy they are to walk in for travelling with it and I bought them so I could have one pair for this and my fixed bike. I took clipless pedals off the fixed anyway now as I prefer using normal shoes so I could replace these. They work well enough for me but they look out of place and they're heavy.

If you're going somewhere on your bike, as opposed to just going for goings sake, mtb shoes > road.

Exactly, but as this bike becomes nicer I'm using it less and less for going places (I've never locked it up anyway) and just use the beater instead so I could make the change. Just another expense though.

I set my cleats as far back as possible and found my MTB shoes allow cleats to be further back than my road shoes, so at the min running Atacs on the road bike.
They are also easier to walk in of course.
