^^^ Black then.
You can only rock purple ironically for so long.
And pewter - do really want something on your bike that sounds like that? -

haaa, yeah black is the safest bet I think, sending my mango 1 1/8 back makes me sad

They do look kind of functional, don't they? I think smaller frames have a tendency to look more slack because of the wheel:steel ratio.
Yeah they look okay, but they always look like a conversion, i know there meant to have more road bike geometry, just don't think its a good look
was close to getting one my self at the end of last year

Thanks looking forward to getting it built up. Planning to build it up as my
everyday bike so need to decide how to protect it from rain rust etc. Anyone
have any top tips?
I've had 531 frame clear coated by armourtex and it seems pretty durable-does make the frames look darker though-more like gunmetal. Still nice though. Home coating is a pain in the arse. to be honest, and that frame is too nice to risk it on

I am installing bar end shifters into some Midge Bars. The question is should I drill them so I can route the cable internally?

I wouldn't bother, just run it out from under the tape

Can't remember cost exactly as they re-cut bottom bracket thread at the same time, but from what I remember armoutex charged about £35 for the clean and clear coat last time.
Think how well it works depends on the frame material/quality - mine were 531, so your frame should be fine if its 853. Pretty pleased with the quality and durability of it though
^ was about to suggest 6600, the fairly conventional spider & chainrings also prevent it looking too out of place on older / steel frames.
