Because a 150mm stem seems a bit extreme to me :-)
would look totally pro though

Just imagine my proportions not so much like a T Rex, but a bit more like this ;-)
Well thats you off my grooming list.
Looks like you can achieve a good aero road position though.

Such as what kind of brakes you have. Not that it makes much difference, most of the attractive wider disc rims are not available in either 36h or silver.
No brakes for me.
I highly doubt the Gangsta will accept 45c, 35c might be pushing it.
They say 43mm so I reckon I can find a 38c knobbly and if it won't fit I can trim the outermost knobbles off.

Right up until the moment I got on the bike ;-)

That sounds like a right ball-ache tbh. You need to leave a little extra room for any mud that sticks to the tyre too, or you'll wear away the paint on your frame in no time at all.
Also, the outermost knobbles are possibly the most important ones. Unless of course you don't intend on going around corners.......

Is it the fake tan that puts you off?

Anybody know how much the chainring might be worth?
One, with a battered dura ace 7400 chainset the other day went for 96 quid

Loving the Witcomb. Started to restore one myself at the weekend - would be delighted if it comes out half as good.
Did Mario Vaz provide the decals, or Lloyds? Thanks! (especially coming from the Witcomb enthousiast I know you are!)
Mario took care of the decals. He said the downtube ones were original ones from Witcomb. I'm pretty sure he told me he uses Lloyds (don't know if it's his main source or if he has others, he probably do...)

More exciting cross posting from me (apologies)...
Commuted on it past couple of days, feels very gentile compared to the Sirius ha.
Nice to be riding this kind of setup again. Just looking for a Flite Ti if anyone has a black un going?

grand job. looks great........ mudguards?
Thanks!
I wanted mudgards at some point. I was thinking of white vintage Bluemels, I have a pair on my Hodsworth in France, they are great. But I did not find any for the money I was ready to spend. I nearly bought red Bluemels from a friend but I decided against at the end, I thought it would be too much... Now I don't now. I like it like this, but there are gaps that could be filled, you are right...27X1-1/4 wheels could be an option, but only if I could source 27X1 tyres, as 27X1-1/4 would not go between the chainstays, or just about.
I don't think 700c don't look undersized / out of proportion on the bike, considering that on the picture, the tyres are only 20c... fitting 23c, or even 25c might be a good move... I'll see when I get the intended wheelset ready (the one on the picture is only temporary)

I'll just rock smaller tyres then :)

Dat seatpost clamp!! Love it!
Is it only a flite that you are after, or open to suggestions? I have a Ti saddle that I think I will never use again. A bit in the flite style, real perforated leather covering with yellow touches that would complement your frame... Can take pictures tonight if you want...

I used Lloyds for Witcomb decals, they were fine. Also reinstated the correct Reynolds decals. Just got to sort mudguards, trim stays and fit brake cable nipples to finally finish mine.

Look for some reasonably priced silver rims to put 35mm tyres on, probably 36 spoke, what do you guys recommend?
Sorry I should have added more info.
I plan to run 35c most of the time but would like to be able to go up to 45c occasionally and down to 28 if necessary.
No brakes for me.

Disc rims are your best bet. Check out velocity, as they always do lots of colours so are more likely to have silver. They also tend to be reasonably priced.

HubJub will be the best place to buy velocity rims, I picked up 2x A23 NMSW Black for £70 including postage, they are a bit slow but cheapest when it comes to velocity rims.

Can't see from here but the thread is set into the frame, very neat.
Due to legs vs. length of seattube, if the saddle has a similar stack height/depth to a Flite I could be interested. If it's deeper (like a Rolls or Turbo) then I'd hold out for a Flite.
Cheers.

Is changing o a black stem and seatpost an option?
IMO you only need 2 out of the 3 to match anyway.
It would have been, but I just bought a Merckx panto stem for a pretty penny, so I'm definitely not changing that.
And, as it happens, I found a pair of Cinelli 65s in good condition on Hilary Stone yesterday. So all is well.

Jingle Jangle question about decals...
I can't see on your Witcomb if the downtube letters have a black boxing around them. I seem to remember that Mario said that not all Witcomb decals have the black boxing...

Lloyds do the plain white or black or white with black edging. Also the early and later headbadge design. I just went for plain white as that is what appeared to be left of the old transfers.

Don't bother about getting the biggest possible tyres you can fit on it, unless you want to go mountain biking, or do those big BMX thing.

TM - did you happen to mean the Warnett was genteel in comparison to the Sirius, or that it wasn't as jewish or christian?!
