  • wheel's dead straight.

    maybe the hub spacing? (goldtec)

  • as long as it tracks straight riding with your hands off the bars...

    or at speed

  • not taking any advice from you but thanks for the reply.

  • Rear end is built out of line? No real problem...

  • possibly, it's the 48th frame they built in 2010, iirc Gara's were quite new then..

  • ride it till it Dies.

  • not taking any advice from you but thanks for the reply.

    lol

  • Put the wheel in the other way round. If it's a problem with the wheel / hub then won't it pull the rim to the other seatstay, if not I guess it's the frame.

Perhaps you can get your frame trued - never done it and I think it's a pretty brutal method.

  • cold setting? Just need to strip the frame and get a big plank of wood....

  • it's alu.

tried that christianSpaceman, it's dead centred on both chain and seat stays.

  • measure the distance from the seatstay to the rim on both sides, same with distance from chainstay to the rim and trackend to the hub flange. If its different, frame not straight.

  • not taking any advice from you but thanks for the reply.

    harsh

    but true.

  • like I said, it's dead straight on one side (48x17) and off on the other (48x19)

  • put it in the bin

  • Holy 1st world problems

    Dibs what Size?

  • 66 cm c-t.

  • Giant. Undibs

  • 1st world problems

True, but in never landed itself in anti, which is where your bike has been rererererererererererererererererereposted

    Giant.

    Dodici actually.

  • Is it actually causing problems? If so, the bigger the problem the bigger the hammer...

  • not causing problems, but the lfgss sticker placement looks off because of the wheel and that is obviously more important that frame alignement and being able to cycle in a straight line.

  • That goes without saying...

    #mustrep

  • I'd guess your wheel is incorrectly dished so when you line it up at the chainstays the axle isn't perpendicular to the dropouts...

Have you checked it using someone else's wheel, slammed right forwards in both dropouts?

  • got a spare rear kicking about, I'll try it now..

  • as long as it tracks straight riding with your hands off the bars...

    or at speed

I would love to know how would a slightly offset rear wheel will have an effect with riding without hand on the handlebar, how did you come to that conclusion?

  • scobbles have you not seen his ride?
