PP, that offer for a free chainstay protector is still on. I need rid of the thing. Want it?
-
• #73433
Oh right yeah, thanks, might be interested but I'd like to see see how it goes with the home made one. I put a good 15 minutes into making it so I am a little bit attached, at least for now. Whereabouts are you?

Sorry dude, it was just a mock up.... waiting for planet x to deliver mine!

Its a Giant CFR Expert, bright yellow, I might keep it so we'll see. I would make a sales thread on here, but its a dick move to buy off ebay and sell for a profit on here.

Di2 front mech exerts a lot of force- to the degree that Campag sells a reinforcement kit for braze on fittings on carbon frames to avoid the cracking seen in my band.
It sounds abit weird (to me whos not an engineer..) that it should exert alot more force. Seem to me the only force it would need to exert is the resistance in moving the fd cage with chain in it.
Im not doubting it, just my head cant wrap around why, thats all.

The Di2 just slams the mech across, no force feedback like you get with cable actuation on proper dérailleurs. If you're ham-fisted, you can probably do as much damage with a conventional set up.

It's a dick move to buy off here and sell for a profit on ebay. The other way round, not so much. Hilary Stone's whole modus operandi is putting work into searching out bargains in other market places and bringing them to LFGSS, and nobody complains. People will tell you soon enough if you're trying to make too much profit, but you should feel comfortable about at least getting your money back plus a bit for your trouble.

...However, there was a reason it was so cheap:
But thankfully it'll only cost me £35 to get it fixed, so its still a bargin...
Where are you getting it done? Everywhere I've looked quote a lot more for fitting a new dropout.

I post my bike in my own thread.

Ryan Oak said 80 notes for a single, 110 for both and Rourke himself is 95 for both. Once again value-vaz is the man to talk to.
-
• #73449
Those were the sort of prices I'd found.
Might get Mario to repaint it while it's down there.
Can you let me have Mario's brother's contact details please.

^^Damn Sheldon that is lovely
Exactly my thinking, rourke will be bike number 6 and frankly thats enough. The giant will go straight back out for sale probably
