Therefore- what bottle cages?
I just got some SS king cages from sidewaycycles. A little bit heavier than the Ti ones but £15 and look exactly the same.

Is that your FD clamp that wasn't working very well?
-
• #73405
Yep, you can see where the carbon has started to fail under the load that the FD was putting it under.

That design would probably be quite good in Ti. Obviously going to be heavy compared with crabon fribé, but possibly still light compared with the alternatives.

Does the electrical fd but more forces on the band? havent seen or heard an issue with those clamps before.

Bars wrapped and final little wipe down of the alan, weights in at 7.7kg which is pretty good I think!

Di2 front mech exerts a lot of force- to the degree that Campag sells a reinforcement kit for braze on fittings on carbon frames to avoid the cracking seen in my band.

Picked this up for £20
Just waiting to hear back from Jason Rourke, hopefully he'll be able to tell me what its made of. Its obviously something nice as it is pretty light and has campag dropouts and a reynolds BB
However, there was a reason it was so cheap:
But thankfully it'll only cost me £35 to get it fixed, so its still a bargin.
I'm not 100% on how it'll be built yet, but probably with dura ace hubs on Mavic SUP wheels, Suntour Cyclone MkII gears, Sugino cranks, some risers and my front cargo rack.
I've also got this:
which Is actually a Nitto S65 branded as specialized, I wouldnt have even noticed if JB hadn't pointed it out.

Oh ya, I forgot to text you about that. Is it alright if XH borrows your stem?

Just started a total renovation of an ex ANC Halfords team bike rode by Joey Mcloughlin, a very rare iconic British classic that had been in my mates shed rusting away. Hoping to get it back to show condition. Frame is off for a complete re-spray & chrome once the decals have been made exactly to match the existing. Photo’s in link will update as I progress
