Are those "in the style of" AKA knockoff ones any good though, or will they self destruct like most counterfeit tat?
-
• #73379

Says there is no such user!!
Get some kings then. They are very nice and would look pretty in tune with the ultegra grey modern look.

King cages are great. They are also quite clearly 'handmade', if you like that sort of thing.
Conveniently orange example:

Cheers brah. Keeping an eye out for carbon/black campy components.
Do we think the slight clamp damage (2nd pic) is nothing to worry about then?
I am definitely not in a position to answer that, especially based on that one picture. I hope not but I'd get it checked by someone who knows what they're talking about.

skinny stainless cages from Tortec are reasonably nice looking, 54g and pretty bomb proof too. I've had a pair on my race bike for 10years and they've not deformed...
at £18 a pair you can use the £75 change (from a pair of king's) on beer and sweeties!

Is that an Alptitude? I was watching one on flea bay that I nearly went for. Also, what's with the backwards fork legs? Am I missing something?
Yep Alpitude. The forks are DT Swiss, that's just the design, think Manitou do some like this too
Miro o I haven't actually had any plastic pedals since I was about 10! V8's with double length pins ftw. I had to use 7 out of 9 cogs on the bottom end of the cassette because I unwittingly bought a SS/trials wheel set with a narrower free hub. Wondering if I could get the bottom 8 of a 10 speed on there now..

got too many wheels and ideas, for fucks sake..
ok so check this out:
I got hubset 28h, wheelset 36h (both dura ace 7600) and the latter was supposed to go on my main project.
but decided that the hubset is way more suitable for it, so decided to build it up now.now, I also have another very fine 36h wheelset with tubs, which I will relace to mavic ma2s for classic look. this is actually for second project, and I am happy to use them and keep as a spare - a an alternative would be a lightweight fixed wheel set that I am planning to build too.
on top of that I got one rear and one front wheel I am not using at all, which is what I should be riding daily to be honest - and now I am picking up another wheel set.
ah, and also got some 32h rims plus hubs which I think I will never build up, as I dont need them at the moment.
tl;dr - two bikes, and despite having 4 complete wheelsets I need another 4 rims and 2 hubs.
kurwa, it really looks like dura ace and arayas will have to go.

bin them all and get more zipps.
-
• #73389
ah, and I got two trispokes and a zipp.
-
• #73390
it all would be nice and easy if only wheels didnt take so much space.
I wouldnt mind having this problem with cranks or chainrings, just stick it to a fancy bag and forget about it. -
• #73392
You should just buy one or a couple more bikes. It more or less eliminate the feeling of having to many wheels. Win win!
-
• #73393
thats the plan for the 32h party, but the rest seriously has to go, and I need to get a fucking clue.
I also have a good new 36 hub which I A B S O L U T E L Y will have no use for.
and 2 more front wheels, just remembered. -

Ok, black hubs/spokes/carbon rims, black cranks, black stem and bars, carbon seatpost, black saddle, Ultegra Di2, orange and white frame.
Therefore- what bottle cages?
Tune
You know you'll be annoyed with some bulky cages, so may as well stop an pretence right here and now! -
