Tried the di2 Jamis... Not sure i'm sold on this electronic lark. Definitely seemed efficient shifting on the front, but felt a bit sloppy on the rear, making a bit of grinding noise- this could be just a case of it's poor life as a test bike for people like me though. However i assumed that it's vaunted as being self-correcting.
Tempted to borrow one from wimbledon evans so i can give it a proper go round the park rather than in traffic.
It's not self correcting, the big plus is that once setup correctly it simply stays that way.
The front mech trims automatically depending on where you are on the block at the back so you don't get any chain rub on the front mech cage.
When it's setup correctly it's pretty much silent apart from the "kzzert" noise at the front.
Under load the rear shift can fire in with a bang- although I suspect that that is amplified by my bike.

I'm planning some wheel build that requires 292mm spokes. Does anyone else have need of this length and want to go half on these? I'll have 170 spare

I dont know, your seems to be 72 deg - but its mostly it being a gate that makes it look slacker than it is I suppose
Big frame have slacker seat angle (73.30), smaller's steeper (75).

Not sure, prob not light weight, they're 2.34mm wide whereas the light ones tent to be 1.5mm.

If they are plain 13g, you'll probably end up paying 16p each for nipples, and when you do they probably won't fit your rims and you'll need a new spoke key. Just get DT Comps from Rosebikes like everybody else does, 292mm in stock at £5.90 per 20

A little progress this evening. Saddle courtesy of Tommmmm, bars from Chokolateboywonder, brakes from WilliamJohn, rear wheel from majsterjanek and most thank of all to Ewanmac for selling the frame back to me in the first place!
Still need a Campag headset.

That it does. Much appreciated. Needs a gumwall rear tub as well...
Really want to find some shop faded white tape thats gone a manky beige like the saddle. The cotton will go grubby fast enough at least. -

That wide angle snap and the way the part is slightly held together somehow made it look a complete mess.

Does anyone have any experience ordering small parts from Rosebikes? Can't work out their postage costs. How much is it lo the uk?
-
• #72173
£7.60 for orders under £150. Don't forget your nipples if you're ordering spokes from Rose.

I ordered some of their compact 26.0 bars, shipping was £7.60 (total £26.15), fast delivery and my gf loves the bars, really would recommend. Also came with a rose branded cord backpack free which was a nice touch (and a bunch of brochures on cycling holidays to dream about)
