In an attempt to have my track bike as cool as Gaston's Mavic one (well, it will never come close, the frame being a MBK one...) I have bought Mavic automatic pedals yesterday at LMNH...
-Mavic headset: check
-Mavic bottom bracket: check
-Mavic pedals: checkCurrently the bike is almost 100% french, appart from the hubs and BB shell which is Cinelli...
Mavic bars would be cool...

Have you even asked them?

They might like it over here now, Horse burgers are widely available for a very reasonable price.

Of course I will not ask! They would probably be too happy to get rid of me!

Visiting my folks house in France is ace. 70's Bertin and 80's Lapibe racers to choose from. French bikes ftw. Look forward to seeing this one.
More photos of the hopro later, picking up saddle from Tommmmm shortly, new seatpost is in and will hopefully fit chainset properly and tape bars...

Built the Dodici back up

^^ this is true. have done longer rides on it (DD etc) and it is a very satisfying distance bike.
^I know, I know... soon? who knows. holler if you hear of any with 280mm steerer. no drilling though, this is the bike that gets a brake every now and then...

Tried the di2 Jamis... Not sure i'm sold on this electronic lark. Definitely seemed efficient shifting on the front, but felt a bit sloppy on the rear, making a bit of grinding noise- this could be just a case of it's poor life as a test bike for people like me though. However i assumed that it's vaunted as being self-correcting.
Tempted to borrow one from wimbledon evans so i can give it a proper go round the park rather than in traffic.

You should definitely do this. RP would be a good little test of it I reckon

I like those Dodici's - but how slack do they look?! The whole bike looks like it's gangsta leaning back on itself!

All Shimano really want to do is sell Aluminium parts because of the heavy investment in tooling / research Shimano have made in production of aluminium cranks which outperform most carbon ones

Love it!
*Let me know if you want to borrow a hacksaw to sort out the steerer?

it's the fork. it affects everything. bb height as pictured is 285mm.
this is the geo/clearance with Alpina fork
whoever had mine made (66cm c-t, custom size) must have only bought the frame.

I dont know, your seems to be 72 deg - but its mostly it being a gate that makes it look slacker than it is I suppose
