Anyone know of somewhere on line I can watch a Sunday in hell? for free preferably
cyclingtorrents.nl is amazing. Tons of old films (and new stuff on there) with ridiculously quick download times.

this looks to be a smashing build. would totally ride it myself.
its my favourite type of set up. north-road bars on road bikes. comfortable and fast......
though i do favour one chain-ring and bar end shifter. looking forward to seeing finished build. -

True dat TM. Might give it a shot.
The bars are Nitto risers (b206AA)
The ass saver does exactly what it says on it the tin! Saves your arse, nothing else! The lever position looks weirder in the pic than it is in real life.

I think she'll need the gears as she'll be doing 50+ mile rides round Yorkshire. Bar end shifters would be better, or even stem mounted, but will see how she gets on with the DT shifters first.

I've got those bars too, great shape.
If you do rattle can, be sure to use a couple of coats of primer first as it helps the paint stick to the metal.

nah just wack paint all over it

Nitto b260aa are great also recco them!
On my own current projects neither of my bikes are suitable for winter commuting and it's really pissing me off seeing all the mess that's getting to my Alan
Usually this would bring up n+1 but by the time I got something together it'd be spring
Bring on summer

How would the breaking surface hold up after a rattle canning?
-
• #70139
this is my bar end shifter and lever combo.

I just though a MSW would look better when he starts riding it using his front brake?
And that front wheel is so shinyyy, would be a shame to just rattle can it :(

I guess, well won't take long for the paint to wear off and leave a silver braking surface.
he could always strip and polish the rear wheel instead.
How are those brake levers? Never used them, but have a pair in the parts bin... can you use them with just 2 fingers or do they squash the other fingers?

i agree, i would just get a new front wheel myself........ though cans can be fun, best left to beaters.

They work fine, very responsive, but i have quite long fingers. The reach is a little longer than normal levers. I only use them as i use the whole of the bar when riding, my old levers got in the way.

Best way to get paint off without nitromors? Sanding?
-
• #70148
Really?
:-/
apparently this is a real problem! braking hard on the rear opens up the dropouts due to clockwise pressure. Ted knew about this and I hadn't even finished my sentence when he said "I know, I can fix it."

finished my gangsta earlier today. just been to a gig and knackered, too lazy to take photos!

^^ that would explain the re-design then. You'll notice that the dropouts on the newer Units ( like drøn's ) are quite beefy in comparison.
Though the sliders on my Explosif never caused me any bother. Perhaps it depends on how far back they are? Mine were usually tucked right in.
