Which of your bikes is ugliest now?
;)

It's close, I don't know.

Although the Langster works perfectly, so has inner mechanical beauty to even up it's hideous looks.

Looks nice and practical to me!

Bring those mudguards in a bit, that clearance is huge!
-
• #68107
I will do, right now I lack the will.
So many things wrong with the damn thing- mudguard fettling is right down the list.
Rear wheel- if you take it out of the frame, hold the axle and try to spin it by hooking a finger round a spoke and pulling it doesn't rotate.
If you spin it up in the frame then it stops rapidly with a rubber squeaking noise.
I reckon a seal is trapped somewhere, need to take the hub apart to look at that.
Then there are the cranks, and the amazing chain removing ability via backpedal.
Blah blah blah.
ONE DAY IT WILL FUCKING WORK.
Just not today.

is your chain too short? rd is vertical and chain doesn't look anywhere close to the big cog....
-

It's sitting on 50/19 in the photo, slap in the middle of the block.
It'll run big to big - that chain is unshortened, same length it came out of the box.

Would that not make it too long?

Isnt one of those dodgy shimano chains that you cant re-use the pins on is it?
-
• #68112
Put the bike in the bin then I guess.

I'll get it running perfectly, just grumbling as it feels like there is always something wrong with this bike, always something not working correctly.
The rear wheel is brand spanking new- FUBAR out of the box, which sadly sums this bike up in a lot of ways.

Can you update the Cannondale thread - didn't you have a delivery the other week?
I need WW inspiration

No change to the road bike I'm afraid- that power meter went on the Boardman.
It is the lightest power meter in the world, that said.

There is always something not quite right with (at least) one of the bikes I own - the curse of multiple bike ownership.
Merckx headset: stop loosening yourself
Merckx rear axle: stop slipping when I do standing starts
Track bike: there is a tiny bit of grit loose in your front rim, it doesn't do anything/isn't dangerous but I can hear that fucker :( -

I would just like to take a moment to talk about Fulcrum's new 2013 Racing 3 wheel set: I got them just before the RotFL and have put about 200k on them so far but they are:
based on campag's zonda wheelset
1550g
24mm front, 30mm rear
stiff as hell (i've had brake rub on all my wheel sets but these refuse to budge)
smooth ride (esp with open corsas)
dont catch a side wind but cut the wind enough to beat my previous speed record on 50mm tubs @ 89kph
look greatobligatory picture on the bike:

couldn't be happier, would certainly recommend. The only downside is that they now use a thicker seal so the unusually noisy, yet entirely traditional campagnolo hub sound is quelled somewhat.

Thanks, it's ready for 3 months of riding New Zealand. Might get a GoPro to go with it....

Eh? Do you have any non-acronym words of wisdom?
Your headtube could be ovalisied/ing
don't think it's that - I think the headset may be shagged.

oh I forgot to add: the racing 3's can be found for only £369. Which IMO is one of the best deals on a set of new Alu hoops I could find. Brilliant.

Hi everyone,
I searched in the forum for something that could help me but I had no luck, so I hope I`m not breaking any rules by asking here.
I have a Nitto B125aa and just bought a Odyssey Monolever (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=63256). The problem I have is that the lever clamp is too small, and not the exact shape of the handlebars, so I can`t get it to fit in. I think I can file and sand the clamp but wanted to know if anyone has a better idea or had this problem too.
Thanks!
Note: I`m in Chile and bought the lever on chainreaction, so I will not be able to return it.
