New build. I used it for my commute for the first time yesterday and have since flipped the stem - it felt almost sit up and beg. Needs Airwings and a longer stem, but it feels so much more responsive and faster the my old frame. It's much more comfortable with alu forks compared to carbon as well.

^Haha that can never be described as "sit up and beg"!
But I know what you mean, it feels that way relative to the previous position

I remembered some had concerns about the stock fork from my build thread
don't use that sanko fork. its crap. everybody who rode it, hooked it (icluding me :-) ).

Fork upgrade is on the cards. I have some shit Kenesis K2's, but they are both ugly with an alu crown and steerer, and uncomfortable. I'm on the hunt for some bladed alu forks.

Alu more comfortable than carbon - does not compute
Lucky for you that is a steel fork....

Alu forks are harsh as fook.

That makes more sense then. I stripped the frame and forks and didn't even clock that.

K2's? are they aka Carbon 2's - if so they're not ugly; they can be super elegant on the right bike.

^Those are the buggers. They didn't look elegant at all on my old beater though, they looked shit.
For sales soon.

Messing around with the set-up, still a way to go. Canti brakes, bar end shifters, bar tape and repair to the seat-tube crack.....maybe mudguards.......My girlfriend and i took it on a short maiden voyage today, it is a very nice ride.

Argos cycles can 'silver solder' the damaged steerer thread and re-thread it for 25 quid, thank god for that!
