I vote for ninja tape.
Also good idea you're getting Dura Ace cranks, that was the only downside for me. It will be perfect then. -

Ninja/Stealth all the way.

White tape, pink finishing tape?
could be a little much though.

I'm getting Soma HWY Ones as soon as SJS gets them in silver/I decide to just go for the black ones.
I have a pair of Highway Ones in silver 42. Fitted once but never ridden. PM me if interested.

Think I might go with majority and keep the black, it could work but I reverse wrap my bars anyway so no finishing tape.

Question.
Keep the black tape, change for white, or pink?
Keep it black.
White or pink looks a little try hard colour matching IMO. A little bit of the right colour looks great but too much looks shit.

Matchy matchy is a no-no.
EVERYONE knows that!

Match off match head.

INFIDELS!!!!
It's within it's limits as it is, SUCK IT...
And hood position on the Pinarello looks old school, but uncomfortable... Flat transition FTW

• #67965
ok, maybe its within limit, but not entirely level anyway!

my merckx in its most recent rebuild - changed to Chorus 10, new wheels (well, actually the winter wheels from my S-Works) and new contact points: deda bar/stem, speedplays and fizik Antares
Position still needs sorting out... oh and yeah I know, I know, it looked nicer with a quill stem, but I've found position really hard to get right on this bike since I've owned it and will probably be swapping out stems and bars until I get it right, so modern stuff made more sense. Haters gonna hate etc.

Needs quill stem.
Also... maybe spatr bars are the ones which you search.
-
• #67969
yeah yeah
It's now going to be my winter bike, so the focus is on practical. I've tried 'pretty' before, but I never rode it.

suggestions for a sealed bearing 1" heasdet similar to CK grip nut?
-
• #67971
What don't you like about the CK GripNut?
-
• #67972
no qualms, just wanna see what else is out there...possibly at similar quality, lower price....
-

similar quality, lower price....
Good luck with that. It turns out that the Hipster Tax on CK, as long as you shop around, isn't that high. It really does cost that much to make a headset as good as a CK.

I think this is the cheapest you can get a new one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chris-King-1-inch-GripNut-Headset-headsets-sets-threaded-Grip-Nut-Head-Set-/350580077176?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51a0337278http://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?ff3=2&pub=5574889051&toolid=10001&campid=5336525415&item=350580077176&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]
just realised 2nut/=gripnut
hmmm

That Merckx is looking good.
The stem doesn't bother me. It looks like what it is – a old bike modernised to still be useful.
Ooh how you flatter.
What you think on the tape front?
