For Cross Check build: Hope Pro III / Mavic Open Pro Ceramic / DT Swiss wheels & Panaracer tyres. £130 off eBay.
Just need BB, cassette, chain and brakes...
Also, can anyone point me in the direction of somewhere which has Kool Stop or SwissStop V-brake pads in Green (or "Blue Sky" for SwissStop?) for ceramic rims, in stock and in the UK?
Bargain!

Thanks. It's gonna be sweet. Some parts are used second hand, some new second hand, and the other new stuff I only bought reduced in the sales. Total price so far for everything is £762 I think. BB, cassette, chain, brakes and pedals to finish it off. Will change the tyres, and want some Ringle or King bottle cages too. Have an Old Man Mountain rack for later, which I need to get some bags for.

How often do you swap between two gears? If it's more than a couple of times a year, a double-fixed hub might be worth having. Since they build symmetrical wheels, it's never a disadvantage to have one even if you don't use the other side, and it's always there as a spare in case you strip the first side.

This^
Why buy a hub with one set of threads, when you can have two sets for the same price and weight.

Can I just say, nice Cross Check Chris. Nice to see you bought the fastest colour.

Cheers man. Can't wait to get it up and running.

Not for the moment. Wanted to try and find a rim for it and maybe practice building it up myself.
