For Cross Check build: Hope Pro III / Mavic Open Pro Ceramic / DT Swiss wheels & Panaracer tyres. £130 off eBay.
Just need BB, cassette, chain and brakes...
Also, can anyone point me in the direction of somewhere which has Kool Stop or SwissStop V-brake pads in Green (or "Blue Sky" for SwissStop?) for ceramic rims, in stock and in the UK?

so, i stuck a 700c fork and 700c wheelset to the Langdale lo-pro i am currently working on. it looks ok in my book, could this be correct? should it be 650c, 24", or 700c? any ideas?

looks sensible... any smaller and the HT angle would be silly...
-
• #67106
looking at that and the photos of the other one is that it was originally 24"

this is not the same frame as in the vintage pictures with riders..... just same builder, B.E. Pinky Green for Langdale Lightweights. its rider was a guy called "Julian Bear"....was hoping to build it up as close to the pictures as i could......

why not pm this guy and ask him what size his is
-
• #67111
I think it needs a 650 (based on nothing more than looking at it).

i was also lusting after the white Langdale. thats what stated me down this path. really like the history of the builders....... decided to write to Langdale.....hope i get a reply. i cant see it being 24" though, head-tube angle would be way too steep......

Unfortunately I'd need a 58cm frame, think Saarfs are a wee bit too small.

and it was the £2 diamond back grips from a bootsale last week that broke the bank and it gave me somewhere to put that nasty saddle, my cheepest build yet and one i wont be worried about locking up in the bronx. :)

go ride that kagero of yours, son, you're too young for these bikes
Planning on metallic silver/light grey atm, need to get the forks altered first to match what would of been original Colnago ones (clearances and filling windows).
It will end up much like this one, but nicer, yes, nicer...
