  • Ed that bike really is lovely.

    Good luck with your trip.

    Amen Brother!

  • I've always had a weak spot for those 3ttt stems; cheap, light, strong, much less flex in comparison to some aluminium stem and they look ace.

  • nutsjesmoar - That is really looking good man. Only slight thing I'd say is the stem needs to be a tighter angle, i.e.-

    But thats just personal opinion.

  • I'm wondering if I should sell my lo-pro in favour of something else....but I don't know what that something else would be yet...

    already?!

  • well kinda, i'm not sure, for one reason or anther i haven't ridden it much. I should probably do that first, i just kind of want to build something new and i can't justify 5 bikes.

  • Damn, and I'm too skint to buy it! >_<

  • Did we even get a photo of the finished product?

  • I took some last weekend, but i didn't like them. I'll try and do some more this evening if it says dry

  • I'm wondering if I should sell my lo-pro in favour of something else....but I don't know what that something else would be yet...

    spatr pls

  • What tape for under £10 for my green bobs, black risers?

  • ...i can't justify 5 bikes.

I know the feeling. I need to cut down my stable somewhat. I'm also coming to the realisation that my Sid Mottram is too small for me :(

  • I can justify 4 bikes, 2 for transport, 2 for a hobby, problem is, i have 6 and 2 frames.

  • 7 is the magic number.

    MTB
    Fixed wheel
    Roadie
    Tourer
    Beater
    Custom
    CX

  • 3 is the magic number (De La Soul weren't wrong);

    Roadbike
    Fixed/SSCX
    Trackbike

  • Custom?

  • 7 is the magic number.

    MTB
    Fixed wheel
    Roadie
    Tourer
    Beater
    Custom
    CX

I' say 8. Add TT and split Roadie into race & training/winter. Custom could be applied to any of the 8 rather than being a specific bike in itself.

  • ^^ An Ed'sperimental bike?

  • What tape for under £10 for my green bobs, black risers?

I was going to say Mavic guidoline.... but it's apparently discontinued :(

3 is the magic minimum number

n+1 where n = the number of bikes above 3.

    1. Nice everyday fixed
    2. Road
    3. Beater
    4. Next project

Although I do pretty much agree with you 3 is an all round desireable amount which I've tried to stick to. And once my GF has her bike and I finish my Dawes the beater will probably be taken out of action for a while.

  • Track (with brake or fancy tub wheels)
hardtail MTB (slicks most of the time)
    Polo bike
CP to be revealed in 2 weeks.

    1. - Bullet proof MTB hardtail work horse with slicks, discs, and no front mech.
    2. - Nice fixed/possible track bike.
3 and up - TBC, as is exact figures... o_o

I think next will be a rat/beater, although NJS has a siren call... >_<

  • I could justify so many bikes if i had the money.

    currently:
    BMX
    brakeless Fixed gear HHSB/beater
    Hardtail MTB
Beater for a mates to borrow is they wanna come along on a ride

  • tourer/audax
    semi-sled/ sensible fixed
    roadie/commuter
    fixed lo-pro

if i were into mtb's i'd justify but i'm not. Other than that i can think what else i'd need.

  • 3 is good.... could do with a geared but no room in my flat (had to give my geared bike to my dad).
    BMX.
    Sunday best track, never used.
    Beater/pub/wet weather tarck left outside.

  • 1 bike with 3 bar options does me for TT, road training, commuting and track.

  • Impressive.

    What is it?

    And pics plz?
