  • I usually feel more stretched out if the bars are higher for some reason, maybe similar for you...

  • spotter, the klein is just a wannabee jose alvarez.. ;p

  • just a minor aesthetic point, but i think the Klein needs a silver stem and seatpost

    Like this?

    ha

  • I want one of these in my stable.

  • Same, looks really fun!

  • who was the guy from Scandinavia, who had the rad red BG? That was my fave...

  • do you mean this ones?

let us not also forget this ones

    and scotts awesome one

  • Much better with the shorter stem, needs to go down slightly I think but it no longer feels like I am holding onto a giraffes ears.

  • Needed new hoods for my old ergo levers. Could get blue or pink ones for 7 euro, so went for blue.

  • so I've bought one of these, should be with me next week

Infact that exact one, from clearance on Bob Jackson website. A little bit of an impulsive buy but I've been looking for something like that for a while, should make a nice town bike.

  • Nicee, ahead stem? Deserves a quil one.

  • yeah, i thought that too. but for the money it's enough, and I figured if I get something like a Nitto CT-80 then it won't look too bad

edit: just looked and CT-80 is £110. Anyone know something similar for cheaper, did ITM ever do an italmanbruuu in A-head?

  • Since it's not really a project, but is basically done, I figured I'd just post it here.

I realise the chain is slack, however I can't move the wheel further back in the dropouts. If I take out a link the wheel sits just on the edge of the dropout, which is kind of disconcerting. I figure if I just ride it for a bit the chain will hopefully stretch and I can take out a link and everyting will fit. Do I have any other options apart from getting a half-link chain?

There are two brakes on there since the lovely Berlin police require 2 brakes (they'll take your bike if you only have one) and the frame has the little things (what are those called?) for the brake cable on the top tube, so it would look kind of silly without a rear brake.

  • I have an old pair of old drops from a Peugeot that may fit in

    23.8mm clamp then?

  • Arthur, the koga is looking lovely, nice conversion :)

Bigger or smaller cog will work for your slack chain.

  • or a single half link, don't need a whole chain

Bloody hell Fred! Whats happening to your black one?

  • it got a zero-rake fork, that gotta be weird to ride.

  • haha, I know, but as rent's so cheap atm...

I'm not sure, sort of depends on how much I like this one, and what finances are like in a few months. I'd love to not have to sell it but we'll see.

  • You can't sell either... you need at least 2 big bikes, one wet one dry...

  • BJ's frame look good, it's oversized too, and 1 1/8 mean in future you can just wack a carbon fork and you'll have a nice light bike*.

*no idea what's the geo is like on that Alley Cat, similar to Vigorelli I gather?

  • Nicee, ahead stem? Deserves a quil one.

    What does this even mean?!

  • He's a retro grouch.
